Worth area? thanks Going To Texas... - Mutilated - 12-27-2005 There\'s the house they filmed the TCM remake that\'s still there. I can get directions for you if you want. Going To Texas... - ALLOUTMASSACRE - 12-27-2005 Hit up a Whataburger...my favorite fast food place you can go in Texas. Stupid Maryland doesn\'t have them up here ![]() Going To Texas... - antisocial1 - 12-27-2005 No Whataburgers? Wow... I can\'t even imagine that. Well, I can\'t think of anything cool, but I\'m sure you\'re planning on eating on your trip. The Big Texas in Amarillo has crappy steak. If you do end up passing through, go to Calico County - that\'s a good steak...mm.. or, if there\'s a restaurant called the Country Barn (at least I think that\'s what it\'s called, big red barn on the side of I-40 as you pass through) that has a really cool bathroom. I don\'t do much travelling though, so I can\'t tell ya much more. Unless you like camping, I can tell you some cool places to camp out or go hiking. Going To Texas... - Bear - 12-27-2005 Well, just to set the record straight...the Alamo is in San Antonio and not Dallas, but anywho... Try Texas Land & Cattle Co. in Ft. Worth, great steaks. And while there, you gotta see Texas Stadium. In Dallas, you might check out Snuffer\'s Restaurant & Bar, some say that part of the restaurant\'s remodeling included inviting an unidentified spirit into the building. If you\'re brave and can find someone to drive ya, check out Flag Pole Hill, legend has it that local police warn people from driving this stretch of Northwest Highway at night after several vehicles have been known to suffer unexplainable damages. You have been warned!! Ironicly, you have to check out the some of the historic Elm Street Pawn Shops, like Honest Joe\'s...I think it\'s still there. One last stop I\'d try to make is The Sixth Floor, at the former Texas School Book Depository on Elm Street. Hope you don\'t run in to the gloved one while you\'re there! Going To Texas... - ROZ - 12-30-2005 Well, I don\'t know if it is right to jump in on this subject since this is my first post. Are you a metal head? If you are in the Dallas/Arlington/Ft Worth I would suggest stopping by the Clubhouse. This is a strip joint that is owned by Vinnie Paul and the late great Dimebag Darrell. This place is wild. The next day you could take the trek over to Moore Memorial Gardens. This is where Dime was laid to rest. Last month they put in his monument, and it is quit awsome to say the least. These are only a few exaples so take them for what they are worth. I know there are a few Pantera fans around here so I hope you don\'t mind my post. If you need directions let me know... Going To Texas... - ALLOUTMASSACRE - 12-30-2005 Yeah no Whataburgers it sucks. I was thankful that I found the only Long John Silvers that exist in MD. Way out in the ghetto lol. I remeber the West Inn was pretty tight in downtown Dallas. Going To Texas... - princeofdarknessMikeW - 12-30-2005 Quote:Yeah no Whataburgers it sucks. Go to Scotts Hobby Shop in Austin its full of mask haha. He\'s on the HMA board if you want to put up a post to him... |
