I know several of you collect knives, so I was hoping someone could tell me where I can find a place that repairs older knives? This isn't for me so I don't know the exact knife. The best I can say is it's a Case brand pocket knife about 30 years old. The Case company said they can't do it.

That is a tough one, what\'s the damage exactly? Depending on what it is, ie broken scales (handles) you could probably order replacement parts and fix it yourself. If it\'s something more, the blade, the lock etc you might be hooped. Your best bet might actually be to talk to a gun smith. Do you have the model name/number of the knife?

It's not my knife, so I don't know many details. I overheard something about the spring. The company can't fix it because they don't make the model anymore which leads me to believe it could be replaced if someone had the right piece.

A spring eh? Ahh, yeah if that\'s the case then, we\'re dealing with a slightly different animal, and it\'s best not to take something like that to too many people depending on your state, and their laws. I\'ll send you a PM
