Hatchet was a hunk of shit. <img src=\"style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/down.gif\" style=\"vertical-align:middle\" emoid=\":down:\" border=\"0\" alt=\"down.gif\" /> PLEASE don’t compare ‘Friday the 13th’ or any other ‘slasher’ to “Hatchet,” or should I say turd. I had such high hopes for it and it was SUCH a let down. Crappy movie, crappy direction, crappy music, crappy acting. Hell, the ‘Victor’ character looked like the lowest budget ‘Jason’ that you could get. Uggggggghhhhhh. Let’s let talk about the worst ending. It’s like they just said fuck it and ran out of film or money and rolled the credits from there.They should have waited until they had more of a budget and a better script. <img src=\"style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/yucky.gif\" style=\"vertical-align:middle\" emoid=\":yucky:\" border=\"0\" alt=\"yucky.gif\" />

True there are exceptions to the rule.......You named them....Carpenters Thing..........81's Blob.............and even more recent.......The Hills Have Eyes. Age has nothing to do with anything. In fact I enjoy the older movies even more so today than back when I was a teen watching them. In my opinion "Jason" is not back...unless I see the charred and decayed body rise up from Crystal Lake with the chain still around his neck. I suppose they will also do a remake of the remake too, and people will still support it. I say continue the series properly, or just invent something new. It may or may not be a good movie, but to me I doubt I will feel as though it is Jason. I also do not like the Hockey Mask so far.I did not care for the VS look either, and I am glad Jason got his ass beat good by Freddy for wearing that coat.

I'll weigh in. What I think is the Jacket is ridiculous. I think he looks to fleshy. I for one like the later Jasons where he's less human and more zombie / monster.I have seen many F13's in the theater and loved it each time but under today's standards there is no reason why we can't have a balls to the wall horror pic with actual acting, good action, a real story and things thrown in for the fans. We don't have to settle for the cheap cash cow rush job movie anymore. I have seen some great remakes. I also though the TCM beginning was super kick @$$. Regardless... remakes, sequels, reimaginings, direct to video, etc. it's ALL good for business. Besides it beats the crap out of some romantic comedy or Nick Cage pic anyday.Keep it coming!
