Something is definitely off with the photo, in fact it occurred to me that he might not look anything like this in the final movie. This might just be a rushed out pic to get something in the public eye. There were lots of things shot for FVJ that made it out into pre-release publicity that never got into the final print. If he does look like this though...Boo! He looks like a bad meld of 3 other versions. I hate the jacket. I never understood in FVJ why he a burlap coat. He sews? He took it off some farmer that came fishing at the lake? I don't need an explanation for most things in the F13s but the jacket is just preposterous.Jason shops at Crystal Lake coat factory, Or Hacks 5th Avenue, Or Ross.Additionally, Black X-Mas remake was unwatchable. I actually turned it off. Some of my fave remakes in no particular order:Toolbox MurdersFunny GamesHalloweenDOTDThe Wicker ManThe Parent Trap& You've got mail

Guess what guys, whatever version of Jason or Freddy or Myers or anyone else you have in your head as the "Iconic" version of that character, because it's your favorite........blah blah blah......YOU'RE NEVER GOING TO SEE IT AGAIN!!!!!!! It's been done. Do you think these filmmakers sit down in the meeting and tell the studio brass, "I'm going to do John Carl Beuchler's Jason."??? Hell no, it's going to be THEIR Jason. We want to see the same workshirt, pants, boots and hockey mask because that's what we know and love because we are freakishly obsessed with these corny-ass slasher flicks. These filmmakers, on the other hand, are NOT freakishly obsessed fanboys. They could give two shits about whether Jason is wearing a tattered burlap jacket or a tattered sears workshirt because, hard as it is to imagine for fanboys, IT DOESN'T F@#*KING MATTER. Not to them and not to the teeny boppers who are going to shell out their 9 bucks on these flicks, skip out midway through the movie and bang their girlfriend in the parking lot. Have you considered why Jason even wore the workshirts in the old flicks anyway? Same reason Michael Myers' mask was a friggin spraypainted Captain Kirk.......it was cheap throw-together crap. It really didn't matter. You can imagine them making the movie and saying something like, "Jason's wardrobe?, just throw some old work clothes on him, I don't care as long as he doesn't look too clean." That friggin olive green workshirt was probably the first thing someone found laying around. Some friggin $7 an hour grip was probably walking around the set in 1983 going, where the hell's my shirt? The jacket is probably there because it was there in the last movie Jason was in. They are trying to appeal to the same audience that went to FvJ. Hell, they probably think their target audience won't recognize Jason without that damn jacket. As much as we want to believe we're the target audience......we're not. Hollywood doesn't give a shit about fanboys. It's probably a good thing they don't or they wouldn't make any money at all. That damn hockey mask is gonna change in every movie too. It was the same in 3-8 or whatever because they made a buch and just recycled the same old crap because it was CHEAP. These studios will give the filmmakers the money now to make a new mask because they think they can make it "better" or make it their own. I'm not a fan of the look, but I can also pop in the dvd of the Jasons that I like and watch them anytime i want. I hope the story is good. I don't like the new batman costume, but the Dark Knight was FANTASTIC! I complained when they cast Heath Ledger and saw what he looked loke. "Joker's not s'posed to be wearing makeup, he doesn't have scars.....blah blah blah. It makes perfect sense to to Joker the way they did because it's *gasp* believable. Our society doesn't really have that fantastical element in our taste for entertainment anymore, people want to see something that's more believable. We're all Jaded, folks. That's why Jason's not a zombie anymore. A random psychopath in a hockeymask is believable. If they tried to show the Joker falling into chemical waste and it bleaches his skin, makes him grin and have green hair, today's audience would say, that's bullshit, you get cancer and die. Lunatic paints his scarred face up and blows people to hell......much more believable. Ya gotta stick with what works folks.

if you scroll up and down real fast with your mouse over that paragraph , i bet you'll find a hidden picture lol . but no really ... i'm not understanding the look of him so far but hopefully it changes later into the movie like when you saw Halloween . did you really think he'd be wearing a pumpkin mask with a bath robe and slippers for the rest of it ? but judging from that tiny little pic that they gave us , to me he looks like an 80's rock star with the dark clothes , jacket wide open , no shirt . all he's missing is the big poofy hair lol . hey wah tcan you expect with a remake movie made for todays kids right ? mike,

I think thats what you mean..<!--QuoteEnd
<!--QuoteEEndHAHA I'm just imagining Jason with skinny jeans and a faux hawk. Maybe he'll work at Hot Topic in this movie too... haha but seriously... the new costume in that pic doesn't mean thats the final costume ya know? They could have just thrown this out there to get fans going, like we are right now. I really hope to see something different. a new take on Jason. Although i doubt that'll happen. I did like what Marcus Nispel did for TCM in 2003. I thought it was one of the better "Remake" movies to have come out in recent years. I hope he'll do the 13th movies justice.
