Quote:ok so if my AIM has little green lines running down it like the matrix and a few people are deleted , and my myspace background won\'t show up on anyone elses but it will on my computer . does this mean that someone hacked into my computer ? should i clean it out and start from scratch ?

The chances of someone \'hacking\' into your computer are slim to none. The chances of you executing a program on your computer that messed it up are much higher. Although AIM does have a number of vulnerabilities, what your describing doesn\'t appear to be a symptom of any of them. I would probably suggest at the least:

1) Uninstalling AIM and reinstalling the latest version OR a less vulnerable client like gAIM which will allow you to use your AIM login.

2) Run a scan on your PC using AVG, Ad-Aware, and Spybot.

3) Quit using myspace, it\'s a rats nest for shallow adolescent teens who have nothing better to do than marvel at the number of virtual friends they have and the sexual predators who are posing as such. Go out and meet people the old fashioned way, face to face in sleezy bars and strip clubs. You\'re more than likely to run into the same losers, but will be able to recognize the dirtbags a lot faster.

nice

it sounds liek the link to your background image is referring to a location on your own computer. That would explain why you can see it and not anyone else. You need to upload it to a server, (photo bucket, etc) and use that link.

I have MySpace, but never use it anymore.... I get so annoyed by all the naked chicks who spam me asking for me to be their friend. I\'m 99% sure they\'re old men posing as 18 yr old strippers.

Well, it was a necessary evil. It\'s hard coming up with new original ideas that fly these days online and Myspace hit an untapped market. Folks were not competent or comfortable enough using the free web space they were given to them free by their ISP\'s with their conneciton so they weren\'t likely to set up their own blogs.

Myspace comes along and provides a simple, centralized, area for folks to set up cool bio\'s to share with friends. With all the incidents, they will need to lock it down and remove so many features that it will loose a lot of it\'s appeal. Not that all the automated bot \'friends\' who spam you these days aren\'t making that happen already. It\'s a fad, fads pass.
