Tom was awesome back in the day.
Like I\'ve said, it\'s basically because of Savini that I wanted to get into the \'Make-Up\' & \'Effects\'. Unfortunately though, he\'s turned into an a%shole who thinks his sh#t doesn\'t stink! Yet, what the hell has he done in the past 10 years?!!! Nothin\' close to what he accomplished over 20 years ago. Yet, he\'s more cocky and stuck up now than he ver was! I honestly don\'t get it.

yeah on one hand you gotta give him credit for his amazing volume of work. the Fridays, the Creepshow, Maniac, the \'of the dead\', movies, the fact that he was in \'Nam, he\'s got such an amazing life story and body of work. He\'s so accomplished and has done so much cool and groundbreaking stuff. By all rights he should be such an awesome guy to hang out with and talk to,....
...but sadly like what was said, these days he seems to be extremely full of himself and quite an a$$hole.
I heard his involvment in the Friday boxset hinged upon him being able to insert a \'commercial\' for his FX school in the boxset as well. And his attitude of, "people still applaud those effects to this day." and stuff like that.
He\'s living on yesterdays accomplishments. Though then again, I guess the advent of CGI really probably put an abrupt halt to his style of movie making.
Shame though, I honestly prefer the old school ways to the CGI stuff.

......then one day they meet Bob Rock and turn into an art/fart/new age/alternative/rock group that sounds nothing like Metallica.
Just saying is all, that whole, "your idols turn out to be douche bags" thing
