From my sources, 'Diary' will definetely be a theatrical release. As far as him filming it here in Toronto, he lives here now. Moved here shortly after filming 'Land'. He's about 25 minutes from my place. He's always loved Toronto. He filmed 'Bruiser' here back in the late 90's, and had a great experience with everybody. As far as his 'zombie' flicks, 'Dawn' has always been my favorite, then 'Land', which I thought was a great movie, with a great story, and some nice carnage. It also made up for 'Day', IMO. I would then say the original 'Night', then 'Day'. The effects in 'Day', mind you, are probably the best ones out of all of the films, but to me, the story was slow-going, and depressing. In regards to other 'Romero' flicks, obviously 'Creepshow' is right at the top for me, then 'The Dark Half', and after that would probably be 'Knightriders'.-Andrew

I actually worked on 'Land' at the end of October '04, as a 'make-up artist'. Greg Nicotero called me and invited me to the set to help out with a whole slew of 'Backround Zombies'. I had an absolute blast! Met John Leguizamo, who was just a great guy. Met a lot of the main guys from KNB, who were all great. I applied 'make-ups' to about 17-20 people (I tried keeping track). I also 'suited up' about 20 zombies that were going to be the 3rd row of walking corpses. The 'hero' zombies were up front, then the 'backround' zombies, which me and 2 other girls were in charge of 'making up', and then the row of zombies behind them. I was given 2-3 garbage bags FULL of masks from KNB, and it was my job to size up each person, fit them with a mask (which let me tell ya, looked like something peeled off of a corpse's face! Just unbeliveable detail!), and get them into an appropriate suit. Then me and a couple of other guys walked them through an assembly line, where we threw some 'fullers earth' on them, made up their arms/hands, and 'blackened' their eyes under the masks, so they wouldn't be seen. Later on in the night, Greg called his assistant, and told her to get me over to the set, to watch some of the filming. I saw them shoot the scene where the kid that's playing with the mouse gets killed by the zombies, while waiting in that little shed. Right after they shot that, they filmed the scene where 'Big Daddy' and about 150 zombies jump into the water to cross the river. I also applied 'make-up' on set, with Greg and his guys. It was surreal man. Just a total rush. When shooting wrapped in the morning, I knocked on the trailer door to say bye to Greg. Eugene Clark 'Big Daddy' answered. He was still in full make-up, minus the contact lenses. Him and Greg were in there, chattin' it up. I talked to them for a bit, then went home to TRY to sleep. LOL. One of the best experiences, thus far.-Andrew

I love all of Romeros dead movies, Dawn and Day being my favs.I also liked Land , alot and i know alot of people trash this movie but its better than 99% of the crappy remakes being made now.Ive always been a fan of allof romeros films, he has passion for making movies and thats just not there much anymore for filmakers today.im looking forward to Diary of the Dead and Diamond dead.I also hope the rumors of him doing the film for Stepehen g'From buick 8 " comes threw aswell.I really wished Romero wouldve done Salems Lot and The Stand when they were offered to Him..........
