My Life size Freddy - corblimey79 - 03-09-2004 Where did you get the manniquin Aaron?? I have been looking for one for ever!! Cost to much Thanks Dan Oh and how did you do the hand??? My Life size Freddy - Dreamdemon - 03-09-2004 Hey Dan I got the mannequin off ebay a few years ago, it already had the head cut off so saved me the trouble. I think I won it for $100 and the shopping was $25 or so. I used it display my Anakin Skywalker costume from Episode II for a while. Back at Halloween I threw my Freddy mask and one of my sweaters on it and put it in front of the window. I have been tinkering with it since. I had to reposition the arms, pad the chest and legs a bit, mannequins are always so damn skinny! The right hand I had to cut and reposition two of the fingers so I could get the glove on. The left had I glued a back of the hand slip cast latex appliance I made and then used epoxy putty to blend the edges. After the putty dried I stippled latex over it for texture. Then the whole hand was painted with an airbrush. The head of course is a foam filled version of my Dream Demon mask and has acrylic eyes. Aaron My Life size Freddy - corblimey79 - 03-09-2004 Well i think it looks great, you have inspired me! Thanks Dan |
