Ebay Experiences - cologstrio - 03-10-2004
Ebay is the greatest! I haven\'t had any problems yet (unless I do not recieve a jersey I\'ve been waiting for since Feb. 11th). I find that a lot of items are not as good "quality" as you would come to believe. Be cautious when buying anything! Like fright-rags said, don\'t "let one bad apple ruin the bunch." There are many, many sellers there and the probability that you would get ripped off twice is incredibly small....so be cool! B)

I like ebay a lot, bought a few masks, swords/knives, medieval helms, games, figures, DVDs and lots more! Don\'t know anywhere else where that\'s all possible! You definitely have to be careful, I always check feedback rating, and make sure the seller is on the up and up. Only been burned once, and I would not be surprised at all if the seller just died. Bought a Hellraiser DVD for $2.10 and sent the money right at the end of the auction, at that time the guys feedback was 98% out of about 1500 sales, so I was pretty confident. Didn\'t hear anything for a few days so I went back to get the guys email address and noticed his feedback rating was now 70%. My emails kept bouncing back so I got his phone number from ebay, rating dropped to 55%. The phone was not disconnected anymore, and his rating had dropped to 30%, I knew I wasn\'t gonna see that DVD. But with the really sudden drop just like that after so many years of great service it makes me think something must have happened to the guy. He had 1000s of auctions up, and when he hit 30% they were all of course pulled, and his account was terminated. It was under $25 so I couldn\'t go about getting it back, and why go to all the hastle for $2? I still filed a complaint and left bad feedback, for what it was worth, but now unless I know the seller, I always wait to send payment until I\'ve heard back from an actual person.
