Vintage Star Wars Figures - Crash - 11-25-2007

Yeah, I have about 20-25 boxes full of the newer line that began in the 90's all still carded. As a matter of fact I only stopped collecting those about 3 years ago, so I have just about every figure put out up until that time. I have another box containing my original Jabba and Sy Snootles band that contains a dozen or so more of the original figures from '83 . . . the POTF ones that came with the coin. And that's not even getting into the vintage vehicles and playsets. The Superman table is my drafting table/desk that I do all my work on. The top lifts up to an angle for drawing and such. My dad and I built that in 2000. Thanks for noticing!

Awesome collection Crash! I used to have an ass load of vintage figures myself and I still have a nice little collection of them. I also have several boxes of newer figures carded and loose.

I have about that many of the vintage figures as well, some are sitting in my vader head and shoulders case. I would love to get rid of them, are they worth anything loose?

Some loose vintage figures can be worth serveral hundred dollars (in some cases thousands for super rare figures) while others are worth only 5 to 10 dollars.

I stopped collecting vintage star wars when the internet boom happened around 95-96 for me. Back in the early 90s I would hunt these figures down in local comic stores and just to even see them mint on card was a treat. This was in addition to a huge collection my brother passed down to me anyway. Something changed with the internet though...they're far to easy to find now. There were certain rarities then that you'd only see in a price guide and i'd rarely get a good look at one in person...almost legendary rare...like the 85 power of the force line, blue snaggletooth, vinyl cape jawa, early bird kit, etc.Good to see all of those together though! brings back a lot of memories. I think these days most figured are worth 5-20 tops. While a very few generate a good amount. Only very few get thousands...prototypes, vlix, etc.Mint on card is the real market for these
