Ebay - JDF - 03-12-2008 That really sucks. The only time I can sell gloves is if I make them, and then put them on ebay; collectors don’t seem to want to wait for a glove to be made, or they’re afraid the glove won’t look like the catalog pics if they order one. Ebay is retarded; you can buy knives, swords, mace, A Mace, batons, tasers…The list of things you can use as a weapon is endless. There are so few Freddy glove sales on ebay too, I don’t get this. I think this is another case of blame the object that was used in the crime, and not the asshole that used it. Just like guns; if guns kill people, then mine must be broken. If some touched in the head asshole thinks he’s freddy, don’t blame the glove, or the person who sold it, or the venue it was purchased at...You blame the person who thought he was freddy, lock em up and call it a day. God this country is going to shit, you know some group complained to ebay, or some shitty news station did a story “Look how easy it is to buy a Freddy Kruger claw weapon on ebay.”, Cue the airhead citizen comment “Well they should be banned”We’re not too far off from banning shoelaces because you can trip and crack your head. "If not for the shoelaces, lil johnny would still be alive"Jeff- Ebay - SUCKFACE - 03-12-2008 I agree 100% with Jeff on thisIt's so stupid to keep putting the blame on the item.If they looked at how many Freddy gloves have been sold on ebay over the years and then look at how many inserdents there have been they will see it does not add.I see there still happy to sell replica guns that get used in robberys all over the worl and ruin peoples lives with frightThese people need to have a good hard look at there policys It's about time that a company launched to rival these dick heads <img src=\"style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin.gif\" style=\"vertical-align:middle\" emoid=\"\" border=\"0\" alt=\"biggrin.gif\" /> Ebay - liquidaluminum - 03-12-2008 I'm glad to see that this is the kind of reaction my topic is getting. I was litterally crushed when I found out that I was good enough to buy the damn things through their site, but I'm not good enough to sell them on there. Anyway Ebay's Trust and Safety sent me a nice little letter in response to the 3 letters that I sent them asking what had happened...here's the response that I got.-JosephDear Joseph,Thank you for writing eBay in regard to your listing for a prop Freddy Kruger glove that was recently removed.I have reviewed your account, and I see that the appropriate action has been taken. Please allow me to explain why your listing was not permitted. The listing was removed because the sale of knives that have three or more edges or points is not permitted on eBay. The prohibited items include Wolverine claws and Freddie Krueger gloves. The only exception to this policy is if the blades are made from plastic, and cannot be sharpened in anyway. For more information on the eBay Firearms, Weapons, and Knives policy, please visit: <a href=\"http://pages.ebay.com/help/policies/firearms-weapons-knives.html\" target=\"_blank\">http://pages.ebay.com/help/policies/firear...ons-knives.html</a> Ebay - SUCKFACE - 03-12-2008 Take too of the blades off the glove and then tell them to re-list it for you and then put in the description that if the winner chooses to have the extra blades attached free of charge this can be done after the auction ends. That should stick a ferit up there arseThey are still on sale on ebay.co.uk and other European sitesThey need to start banning sets of knives dont they ? any more than 2 blades in any auction need to be banned as thats more than there policy allows. I can't see my self cutting a peice of steak with a plastic blade <img src=\"style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/tongue.gif\" style=\"vertical-align:middle\" emoid=\"\" border=\"0\" alt=\"tongue.gif\" /> F***ing stupid Ebay - Vanilla Ice......Cream - 03-12-2008 That's it,I'm going to slap someone to death with an 8 hole conversion. Ebay - jaythree - 03-12-2008 I just sold one on there about a month ago...if you list it at a Buy-it-Now price, it will most likely sell before they catch it and remove it. I had mine listed on a 7 day auction, and on the 4th day they removed it. I re-listed it the next day at Buy-it-Now, and it went within a couple hours. Just a way around the system. Cheers. Ebay - WarLocK - 03-12-2008 I've gotten to the point now where I rarely post on eBay because of this type of crap. Nothing pisses me off worse than when I spend 45 minutes working on my auction and pics for them to pull it w/ a sly little notice. C'mon G00GLE-AUCTIONZ Where are you!!!??? Ebay - VF 31 - 03-12-2008 i figured it was just a matter of time...but yea, its redic cuz they can still sell all sorts of other weapons (even meant to be a wep, where as the gloves of course arent) Ebay - JASON 7 - 03-12-2008 What a crock ! if i listed one i try and do it in a miss leading way. for example metal like or stainless like. Ebay - GBeninati - 03-12-2008 what if you put potatos on the end of them and called them potato holdersthen the buyer can take the potatos off when he gets the glove |
