Pinhead Last Pics Before Casting 98 Percent Complete - The Beast - 01-23-2009

Looking better man.Compared to Bradley's anatomy, His chin seems to be a little too round.. If you understand what I mean. And you might need to take a little off the front of his neck.IMHO, of course.

I will be removing some material from his neck for sure. As for his chin, I am not done with it yet, but I am really struggling with it. If you frame by frame the scene in Hellraiser 2 where the doctor turns Pinhead into a human, you can see how much makeup is applied to bradley, and his chin moves about a 1/2 inch or so back as he loses the makeup. Its kinda neat, like special effects in reverse. I pretty much have been combining aspects of the lifecast, bradleys own anatomy, and most recently, the 3 demonic piece which looks as though it has a huge chin, but it could be the open mouth. Thank you for the comments guys.

Ok, here are pics of the Pinhead almost complete. I have some more neck work to do, as well as texturing which will probably not show up without paint anyway, so these will be the last photos until I can cast and paint a latex pull. Overall I am pleased with how it turned out and thanks to those of you that were open and honest and pushed me to do better. Deadguy 71, Deadthing 74, and Gerard33 especially, thanks so much guys for helping me do understand some aspects of finishing, and casting. Hope I can pull the rest of this off. I know I can paint, but I am fearful of molding and ruining it. Oh yea, if there are any mask makers near Charlotte NC that want to help me make a mold of this and do my first pull I will give you a free copy : )Brian

it does look better from when you first started bro, but unfortunetly I gotta say, its really not looking like doug bradly....it just kinda looks like a sad old man with chubby cheeks. youve definetly got the skill, I just think you need to take the time to sculpt doug bradly before you sculpt pinheadget what Im sayin bro?

I think it looks very good. I agree that it doesnt really look like Doug Bradley but its still a very good attempt. You have the basic anatomy of the human head down pretty good so if this is your own take on Pinhead its awesome! I have a pinhead mask on my catalog that I offer and mine doesnt really look like Doug either LOL But for the first time trying to sculpt a pinhead I dont think it came out too shabby. It's hard trying to capture a real persons face 3 dimensionaly just by looking at flat pics. You did better than most would do so good job! I do think the back where the skin is pulled by the hooks that its just too much. You should make that a little more subtle. I dont think there enough skin to bunch up that much on anyones head. Keep up the good work!-BillNSP

puckface is right. But if you look at ebay your sculpt beats the snot out of whats on there. if you painted it well and added real nails or pins. I bet you would sell quite abit.Good job for your first.
