Friday The 13th(2009) - JOEY - 02-13-2009
I just got back from the 2:50 showing... LOVED IT!Jason was extremely menacing. Cool seeing him hunt his victims, and if they looked as if they were getting away, he put it in an extra gear to finish them off. (start running, throwing the axe) I did actually care for a few of the characters in the movie, and that's something that hasn't happened in a Friday the 13th since the original sequels. The acting was better than previous entries. As a huge Friday the 13th/Jason fan, I couldn't be happier.

Saw it today with my wife and I got to say it was great! I liked the story and as people have said the acting. I was kind of confused on one thing...I swore I heard that Jason was going to be all human meaning none of this he cant get hurt or killed. And then to see him jump out of the water after being stabbed it made me realize I was wrong.So did anyone else hear that or am I imagining things?

I just got back from seeing it and it was pretty much what I expected. I've never been a fan of the Jason films since they severely lack a really good and interesting story, though. I love the Jason character but as a movie... it was a typical slasher film. But that's what Jason films are. I still prefer Nightmare on Elm Street due to the more interesting story that drives it. I sort of felt like I had to leave my brain at the door when I walked into the theater today.

I personally thought it sucked. Cramming at least three different looks of Jason into one flick didn't work out so good and the movie felt rushed to me. The kills were nothing special and I think some even faded to black before you seen anything. It was cool to see Jason on the big screen again but that's about it.

I just back and it was everything i hoped it would be and Derek was just the nuts as Jason, perfect performance in my opinion, people clapped at the end and that never happens in the uk!One thing i noticed is that (no disrespect meant to anyone) none of us have got the finish on the hockey mask quiet right yet, we have all done well from the few pictures we have seen before the release but the detail in the hero mask is insane <img src=\"style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/teehee.gif\" style=\"vertical-align:middle\" emoid=\":teehee:\" border=\"0\" alt=\"teehee.gif\" />

I just saw it and I thought it was pretty good. Not great but not bad either, Jason was great though. I missed the music that the older movies had(anyone else feel that way?) But overall I give it a 6 or 7 out of 10.

I just got back from seeing it. Derek was bad ass. I can't say I thought it was a great film. But not bad eather. The lighting was dark which gave the film a good feew. I would have liked to seen a clear unmasked scene. Preety much what I expected.

Well i just saw it, and i'm a really big jason fan. BUT i was disapointed a bit. i felt like i was watching another TCM movie! Jason as a kidnapper, come-on now, also the undground tunnels, cripes, more tcm and halloween footage. i didnt find this to have a f 13 feel to it at all. they never even made the forest noises, ch ch ch. only in the opening credits. that sucked!and were the hell was the young jason? Did i sneeze, mabey because he was not there! they did cast a young boy for his roll didnt they? i was really hoping for more of a begining story, more of young jason and his growing up to be what he is.I still like it in some ways because of the character, i did however like jasons look and fast movements, but the story should have been alot better. i give it a 5 -10. Damn!
