When he said Derek would "actually show up" in costume to accept his award just came across to me that people would vote for him because he's still alive. Sounded like a sick joke about Heath's death. Sorry for interpreting it wrong. It is cool to see Derek nominated though. I haven't seen all the Jason films but of the ones I have seen, Derek was the best. I love how he was so fast and aggressive. To see someone who looks like him running at you with a machete would make anyone make a squishy.
