He played one of the best characters Tarantino has ever written, and was extremely skilled. This is certainly a tragic loss... Suicide? I would have never seen that coming from a man like him. Great actor, and a very unique voice. He seemed like a healthy guy, I'm sure he had more than 72 years in him.

I absolutely love him in everything he's done! I grew up with Kung Fu and he was brilliant in Kill Bill!I'd really like to hear the actual cause of death and if it was suicide, I'd love to hear a reasonable explanation.It doesn't seem right for a 72 year old man to hang himself. The the Five Pointed Palm Exploding Heart Techniquewould have made more sense!I guess we'll know more in the days to come.RIP David!DaveChainsaw9

Please no... my friend's fiance died in a similar fashion. "Gently" hanging yourself while doing certain drugs greatly intensifies the high but he passed out while doing it and wound up hanging himself. Sounds like a similar cause of death. Might not have been a suicide but an accidental hanging.

I've been surprised lately to know how often accidental hangings happen when they're part of a drug or sexual situation... really a sad and unnecessary way to go.
