Regardless if it's true or not... he is trying to save his own life. But he could be lying to them about being innocent and not knowing why they're angry, you know?<!--QuoteEnd</div><!--QuoteEEndThe thing about this version of freddy that gets me is, when he's running from those cars, and is cornered in that building, he really looks scared. He really appears that he may be innocent. This is something we've never ( to my memory ) seen in any of the past films.

But I get what you're saying... I don't think we'll need to worry about it. I doubt they'd really make Freddy into an innocent victim who was wrongly accused. Maybe they'll imply it in the film but I doubt they're take away Freddy's true nature.

Not quite 100% though... there appears to be a wrist cuff of sorts that has a hinge on the left-side of the wrist. Owen's glove just has the metal piece that curves over the top but apparently it's hinged to a secondary piece that wraps underneath the wrist as well. But I am VERY impressed at Owen's accuracy when all he had was 1 photo to go off. Awesome work! And by the way... I'm repeating the ending over and over again to really get a good look at his face and also to listen to his voice. What's really creeping me out is how Freddy is coming up to her very slowly and whispering to her instead of really coming at her aggressively. Also, his blank facial expression when he's in her face is creepy as well... showing no emotion as he torments this poor girl. But also take a good look at the holes in his cheek... you can see so deep into it that his teeth on his lower jaw are visible. Gross....

I also wish they would have shown more of him but they might have another trailer closer to the release date, or at least more pics of him.

Looks to me just like a guy doing a bad Freddy impersonation. If they were going to keep the same exact look they may as well just have used Robert, kinda stupid. Otherwise change the look and different clothes etc. The burn look does look authentic, and sounds authentic, but you just can't replace Robert's charisma. I like the more serious Freddy in part 1, but I also like Freddy's wicked sense of humor in later films. Looks to me like this guy is playing Robert playing Freddy.
