Everything he's done has been amazing. Robert Englund himself endorsed JEH to replace him. Who better to give JEH the nod than Robert himself? The argument pretty much ends when Robert says so.<!--QuoteEnd
<!--QuoteEEndWow..I never realised Robert Englund recommended him as his replacement...OK, that changes things! I'm not saying I am not looking forward to seeing it though, and it's gotta beat Halloween 2 !!!!!!!!!!!!! Pic I Found Of Jackie Earle Haley In The Freddy Sweater. - puckface - 10-30-2009 I love the choice for freddy, but wish they would have changed up the sweater at least a little bit. The only person besides Robert Englund I would want as Freddy is Robert Knepper. Now I would seriously LOVE the remake if Robert Knepper was Freddy he would have been perfect, he was the best character for me in prison break and every time he was on screen it was just awesome. I'll give this Jackie guy a chance and see the movie anyway when it finally comes out. Nice looking sweater, I like the way its weathered with all the little holes, looks good.<!--QuoteEnd
<!--QuoteEEndWow. I agree! Knepper would have been perfect!I mean really Rorshack as Freddy? Robert didn't recommend anyone to replace him. TONS of fans online named JEH as the one to take over the role and when they signed him to it, Robert found out about it and he said he was thrilled to hear the choice. Here's what Robert said:"I love Jackie's character. Jackie is not big, and I think that Jackie's size is gonna really work for him as Freddy Krueger. Because I've always in my mindset imagined… One of the metaphors or one of the images I've used for Freddy is a little rabid dog that just bites your ankle and holds on. A little yelping dog. And I think Jackie brings that, with his own physicality, to the role, without ever having to work it a little bit. He doesn't really have to work that. He brings that naturally with who he is, which I think is really part of the way I see it. I'd even like to see Jackie dressed a little differently. Jackie's a wonderful young actor. Let him make it his own. JEH really is one creepy SOB. During the interview, you could tell that chick was creeped out. Pic I Found Of Jackie Earle Haley In The Freddy Sweater. - boilerroomcreations - 10-31-2009 Hey guys! from what i understand from Nancy (Roberts wife) and Roberts new book, Hollywood Monster, Robert was tired of the make-up and Ready to hang up the glove. After the blockbuster success of Freddy Versus Jason, he decided it was a perfect time to move on, Leaving Freddy's character while he was still on top. I know we all will miss him sooo much. BUT... i hear from Tuesday Knight that there have been talks with Wes Craven for another definitive nightmare, a sort of sequel to New Nightmare. Not sure what its all about, as its just "talking" at the moment.... maybe we will see Robert slip on the old glove again! <img src=\"style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/thumbsup.gif\" style=\"vertical-align:middle\" emoid=\"\" border=\"0\" alt=\"thumbsup.gif\" /> |
