well guys, this was my experience
i did a fan film a couple of years ago and decided to sell off the Hockey Mask and undermask for it, so two days in to the auction on ebay it got pulled, not from NLC but from WB (warner) and they stated they owned the copyright also.
so i figured what the hell i deserve an explenation, so i emailed em back asking why, and it was due to the fact i stated friday the 13th and jason in my auction and did not ask permission to use such things.
so i emailed a reply asking permission to list this item and if i didnt state it was jason and f13th would that be ok? and they agreed to it in written permission, so the auction went through fine and i managed to get $300 for the costume.
all i did was ask permission and i got it, its worth a shot.

i want to know
A: why when i ask they will not tell me what is and is not copyright.
B: how they can copyright the triangles on a hockey mask
And how they can copyright the name Jason.....what if my name is jason? do they own me?
i have tons of un awnswered questions from these jerks! i send e-mail after e-mail to no avail. im beyond frustrated, i do not use copyrighted names etc and i have a disclaimer at the bottom of the page. im thinking of starting another ebay account making my name jason and then they cant do jack squat! so.... i dunno!

its very simple all they gotta d ois tell ebay its there itme your infringing on..doesnt matter if it was a cardboard box if they say its theres ebay will not even look..its called big guys gettin aways with whatever they want..they cant stop u if u dont use names but they can tell ebay whatever they want and get the item ended..i have been sent 5 C&D\'s and i havent stopped i sent a l;etter saying take me to court if u will i dont use any of your names..but little guys get the short end of the mask
