Thank you Tank,
I am very honored and I promise to make you one that will blow you away. The one I just finished puts those other ones I posted to shame. You are going to be happy.

EDIT: The post content below was edited to be more correct per new information I had previously been unaware of...I apologize if I initially misled anybody.

The resin of a Black Se7en and/or Red Se7en is no more brittle than at least styrene plastic of the same size and thickness. It is very flexible and appears to have nearly as much elasticity as any thermoplastic hockey mask I've owned. However, it could be breakable if dropped onto a hard surface or smacked very hard with a really solid object.

By the way, Mario is selling the Red Se7en OUTSIDE of Ebay, as well. He only put up about half his Red Se7en stock there, and he removed the "Buy It Now" option to save money on his end of the deal (RE: Ebay fees for Buy Now auctions). If you want one without the fear of getting outbid by someone who likes to throw away excess cash, send him a PM on this forum.

Cheers,

Ryan

I know of two broken black 7's. One arrived broken and the buyer is unable to collect his insurance for it after two months of waiting. The other was dropped onto the floor and it broke. I have never heard of abs breaking from a 5 ft fall before.

Wow! I was unaware of that...Sad In that case, I retract my "ABS comparison" statement. Was Mario willing to replace the mask(s) or work out a deal with those buyers?

Cheers,

Ryan

He said he has all but given up hope on ever seeing his money. 100% truth. Saw the pictures even. Maybe this will spur something on to help him see his money again but who knows.

Wow. Confusedad: I'm very sorry to hear that for those buyers...If that happened to me, I'd nearly be in tears.

I'll point Mario to this thread so he's made aware of these issues.

Cheers,

Ryan

Hey guys,

at the very beginning I tried it out myself and tested what a Black 7 can take until it damages. I even rolled it up like a wrap and it would not break through.

Well, at one point a customer sadly received his package and in his own words it looked like a truck rolled over it. An in fact it really looked that way. For this case he included the insurance for $20 addition but sadly did not filed a claim when he picked the package up at his post office. As far as I know, he asked the post guy what to do and that post guy told him he would not need to file a claim but I as the sender should do that. This does not sound real logical what the customer was told so I went to my post office here and told them about that. What happened is that he, the post guy in my local post office told me the receiver needed to do that file because he is the one with the broken package to show as proof. Anyway I called DHL and told them what happened and sent them the pics I received from the customer and tried to get the money back. I wrote exactly what happened and that the Post guy told him about not to file the claim for some reason, so it is not up to the customer that it might gone wrong. They went back to me with a letter about one week later with the info they would not pay for the reason that at the time of receiving no one was filing a claim. Kind of logical because technically the damage can be happened at home after the customer recieved the package in a fine condition. Of course that is crap, but in the eyes of DHL technically possible.

After that, I wrote another letter to them, listing up the whole process again how he picked the package up in a damaged condition and he even shot pics when he was still in the post office. And that it was the post guy who adviced him to not file the claim etc. Another week later I got the same reply back. They would not pay.

I think that buyer is a real nice guy and I had a great conversation with him prior and during that happening so I offered him to send him a new mask anyway, no matter what happens, if he just send me the damaged one back to get sure no number shows up twice at one point. He replied that he had to send the mask to DHL. But I guess since they would not pay, the mask should have been returned. Sadly our conversation slowed down at one point and I got not back from him if the DHL mask has returned yet. My offer is still valid and I would replace the mask even when the DHL insurance was not going through.

As for the other mask that got broken because it fell down.. I never heard of that. And as said, I rolled up mine entirely, threw it across the workshop, etc. and it was still intact. Please get back to me with pictures if possible and let me know what happened. info@fridaythe13thprops.de

Lars,
You did a great paint up on your Hero 7. Awesome! I do have to say that I own a Black 7 amd it is perfect. You can't get any better than owning a mask made from the source and painted referencing that source in person. I proudly display the mask and never had a problem with it. I do want to say that after paying $300 for anything, I would make very sure not to drop it or fold it like a taco.
