Wow, For a first sculpt it looks great. Way better than what I could ever do.

I hope you don't take this the wrong way, but it looks really basic and rough as it is right now. You should take time to build up and smooth down the skull forms a bit more. Make it more fluid and anatomical.
Also, there are easier and realistic ways to make the "dead skin" details you've been trying to add. You can rub over areas with a brush soaked in alcohol to smooth, blend, and round out the clay. You can also cover the area with a piece of plastic before sculpting to get more realistic wrinkle and fold details. Try that out!

Cool, can't take it a wrong way Ryan, I am a beginner. I need the opinions, good or bad, to make myself better! I am going to try the alcohol and plastic technique to see what results I can accomplish! Thanks for the advice!
Everyone else, please feel free to chime in as well. I am the first to admit I am a noob at mask making but have been collecting for almost two decades. I would like everyone's input reguradless of how you may think I feel.... as long as it pertains to the mask....come on... I took a shower last month....the smell can't be that bad :-)

You should probably do something about the teeth as well, if you have the cash I recommend Monster Makers fake teeth, they're great.

Yes! For sure, they are just there as part of the mold. I was planning on going with some style of dentures :-)

this thing looks awesome . just raise the ears as i'm sure you've done by now , and add some skin texture to the whole piece and i'd say you're set .

It's better to use the fake acrylic teeth that Kyle recommended ON the sculpture itself. That way, the teeth on your finished product come out looking beautiful and realistic with much less sculpting work involved. You can usually find a set for a reasonable price on Ebay...Just set 'em in some sculpted "gums" and add enough clay to their backside so that they won't get stuck in the plaster mold, then you're all set!

Really cool idea! I was thinking of adding the teeth to the latex masks themselves but that is a really good idea! I like that! Thanks for the tip Ryan!

That is very very hard to do, adding them on a finished mask, takes a lot of work and sometimes it wont look right, like Ryan said if you put them on the sculpt when you mold, turns out beautiful.

Thinking of the Unearthed 1 , the teeth do fall out quite often. I do agree, it is a better idea to add them to the mold .
