One Dad was bringing up his two little boys, they couldn't have been more than 2 years old, one was a Fireman and the other was a Policeman. I had my mask on, so I couldn't hear well, but my wife told me that she heard the Dad telling them to not be afraid, that I only looked scary and wouldn't hurt them, so I pulled my mask off and cut the act let them know that it was all a show. Those two kids were the best behaved out of the entire night. The rest of the time, it was kids that looked too old to trick or treat in the first place. Not a single person that came to our door said Trick or Treat, most just held out their bags and waited for candy and couldn't even manage a thank you. I remember being a kid and knowing to still be polite, a time when our neighbors would invite us in and take pictures of our costumes before sending us on our way for the rest of the night. Halloween just isn't the same anymore, and the sad thing is, I doubt it ever will be again. Oh, we also had the "I know you're just a guy in a costume, so just give me some candy" brats...ugh... -Joseph Idiots - mybankey - 11-02-2010 I remember being a kid and knowing to still be polite, a time when our neighbors would invite us in and take pictures of our costumes before sending us on our way for the rest of the night. In a similar story, two years ago, I was working in a haunte dhouse, and we'd get the groups of teen boys who needed their friends for that false courage. They were little jacka$$es. I think there should be some rule with haunts that if a group like that is waiting in line and being rude, it should mandatory that they all go through alone. And there should be cameras swet up through the haunt, so that others can see them being scared. |
