I am surprised that Fright Night is being remade.
I actually seen online that the Schwarzenegger movie Total Recall is also being remade. :confused:

Fright Night is my favorite vampire movie, so I was skeptical when I first heard about the remake. Now that I've seen the trailer I have to admit that it looks promising; also, I love the cast. I'll be crossing my fingers.

There wasn't a single thing in this trailer that made me want to watch the movie. Total Recall is based upon the novel "We can remember it for you whole sale" by Phillip K D.i.c.k (Typed it that way because it is actually his last name) who wrote "Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep?" which became "Blade Runner", and "A Scanner Darkly" (which became "A Scanner Darkly", respectively) amongst numerous others which were adapted to film.
So, although the Schwarzenegger film is a good sci-fi action classic, perhaps the remake will follow the authors original work more closely and hopefully be more comparable to Films like Blade Runner and A Scanner Darkly. Although, I could be completely wrong.
