This makes me happy!! The pose is great and I can already see a bit of Jack in the brow. You should really post those "reference pose" shots you shared with me LoL!

This would be a great adition to anyones collection . I\'d buy the one Bobby made but that\'s way out of my budget so hopefully this one can be a bit lower so more people can afford it . Do you plan on sculpting the hair like you did in your last piece or will you be laying hair ?

mike,

Hey, all!!

Thanks so much for the replies. I\'m glad a few of you (especially Jason) can see the resemblance so far...It still needs a lot of work, though. This piece will take many more months to complete.

Jason, I\'m NOT posting those publicly...haha!

Mike, I won\'t add any hair to this piece at all in the sculpting stage. My plan is to try for silicone castings for hand-punched hair, but that\'s too far away to confirm just yet. If I do decide for that option, it\'ll take a LOT of research and trial and error - but may be worth it if there\'s a bunch of interest. If not, then he may be cast in translucent flesh-tone resin instead.

Thanks again and cheers,

Ryan

Looks like someone has been studying their anatomy. I am beyond thrilled with your choice for an armature as well. Dynamic posing for the win! This is going to be a very popular piece. As always, if you need a second set of eyes, let me know.

Ahh ok thanks for the quick reply . I was just thinking that latex or resin would be in most peoples price budget as silicone can start at a fully finished piece in the high hundreds to thousands . Was just thinking of how a great piece like this could be affordable for everyone . But in the end , it\'s up to you man . Can\'t wait to see some more progress shots .

I think it\'s looking killer right now love it so far. I\'d be done for a Resin or Silicone piece.

James, thanks for the reply, man!! The custom armature was a must after using that dreadful CFX head. I salvaged as much clay from it as possible and threw that !#@%er in the trash. hahaha!
I will definitely keep you in mind once the finer details and super anal accuracies start to come into play and a good set of critical eyes are needed. Smile

As for materials, I will make it in the most reasonable and affordable option, for sure. I don\'t want to price anybody out for this piece. Silicone is only a "distant possibility" at this point. Most likely, I\'ll have to use resin to wrangle up more interest. However, if the response is overwhelming, I will DEFINITELY look into the possibility of a mold for foam-filled silicone castings.

Cheers,

Ryan
