Be Careful - RCuomo 2.0 - 06-28-2005 I feel sorry for people dumb enough to fall for that crap! If they email me asking for a CC#... Id say to eBay and Pay Pal... I gave it to you once when I signed up... if you have deleted it from your system now... too bad so sad! Cheers Steven Be Careful - SPAZ - 06-28-2005 the only emails from ebay I open is your winning "this", you where outbid on "this", or you won "this" Be Careful - Last_of_the_Brunnen-G - 06-28-2005 I got a Paypal email as well asking for my credit card pin number. Be Careful - RCuomo 2.0 - 06-28-2005 Email it back to them and tell em to bend over and youll give it to them Cheers Steven Be Careful - adam - 06-29-2005 if you get a fraudulent email from ebay saying to update your info, you can forward that email to spoof@ebay.com helps to get them out of the picture. also, scammers can replicate the webpage\'s look prefectly, however, if you check the address, its never right. a lot of times its an ip address followed by the correct ebay address. or you can check the actual email address. its usually disquised as blahblah@ebay.com etc. but you can see the address if you open the email. Be Careful - Venger - 06-29-2005 Damn those phishers. I hate them. I\'ve had loads over the past year and I always forward them on to paypal and ebay. I\'ve even had one form banks and buildig societies I don\'t even have an account with asking me to update my info. Be Careful - GBeninati - 06-30-2005 I get e-mails that look like they are from paypal every day. saying all sorts of shit. |
