Can I give my honest opinion:
It\'s just not convincing me that it\'s a muddy, old mask. The mud looks like grey house paint. If I were you, i\'d give it the base coat and paint it like a regular dream sequence. Then, mix up a transclucent batch of paint that looks like mud to you.
On a NIGHTOWL F7 I once owned, Justin experimented with a wet looking paint job. Some parts of it looked like it has some water running off the mask. It was real looking.
I\'m not trying to be insulting and I hope this is taken as constructive criticism.

Looks pretty good. You still have the little divits
on the cheeks where the rivets would be on the part 6.
Need to get rid of those.
Just some thoughts.
