Horror Hound #2 - D-bach - 04-27-2006 i cant remeber the artists name, i read it like a month ago.but you\'ll see the article it was a long one. Horror Hound #2 - CreepingDead - 04-27-2006 It was an interview with Jordu Schell, and I took his comments as being directed towards those that have no appreaction for the art of mask making and hop on the Freddy/Myers/Jason bandwagon to make a quick buck (You know, like that Heyjerkspeedkills guy that was mentioned in another thread). Maybe I read it to closely, or not close enough. I make and paint Jason masks too and I wasn\'t offended by it at all. Of course in order to make your own opinion of his comments, you\'ll have to track down a copy of issue #2 and read it. Then flip to page 57 and read the article about my custom paint work on Dan D\'s zombie. Horror Hound #2 - Homicidal#9 - 04-27-2006 i brought this up in chat one night with a bunch of the guys when the issue first came out. I personally took great offense to it, because he insulted not just the makers, but the customers of those said mask makers as well. It seems as if there is a double standard in this hobby. If you are an older collector, it is perfectly acceptable to have/want/track down every endless variation of Frankenstein, or the Wolfman or Lugosi Dracula mask there is....but....it is boring/foolish/stupid for the younger generations to do the exact same thing with the movie monsters and madmen of our generation. I love them all...but the horror movie monsters and madmen that i grew up with are the ones i want to spend my hard earned money on. They are the exact same thing in my opinion, but the higher ups seem to think we are not worthy of this hobby.... How can you lump everyone into a category like that? I am glad others feel the same way i do... Tommy oh...btw...still waiting on my first two issues of HorrorHound... Horror Hound #2 - SuperDanDrista - 04-28-2006 You know what..I love horrorshow as a magazine..but I\'ll agree that Jordu\'s comments were a little off. I definitely paused for a second....then kept reading. I hope my article wasn\'t offensive? LOL Horror Hound #2 - VF31 - 04-28-2006 jordu is one talented poop.....but what he said was about slasher maker/collectors was crock Horror Hound #2 - Dahone - 04-28-2006 Gotta love Tommy! You comin\' to M.M.? I got to buy you some beers! Jordu: poo poo mouth.....bad! Horror Hound #2 - Homicidal#9 - 04-28-2006 i will be at the one in August Dahone...and i appreciate the offer of beer...but i dont drink....way too violent with the juice in me... but...does anyone else feel the same way i do...or am i alone on this assumption? Tommy Horror Hound #2 - VF31 - 04-28-2006 its just an ego thing. Horror Hound #2 - Homicidal#9 - 04-28-2006 my ego or their\'s steve? Tommy Horror Hound #2 - Hauntmaster9 - 04-28-2006 Hmm Could someone scan the interview? |
