What I've Learned - Ruste Dowg - 03-19-2007

There are more important things in life than collecting and spending far too much time at your computer, open the door, go out side and smell the freash air, let fate decide the way your day will pan out, smile at someone you dont know, help a neighbour, or at least offer, take a moment to reflect on all that you have and treasure the things close to you, smile and be thankfull your alive..............................well at least that's what the shrink said at my 'obsessed with collecting' group meeting!Thing i learned is never take things too seriously and always treat people with the respect they deserve.

As a maker i try to keep people informed about whats going on, doesnt take to long to type a few words, i have learned to allways send stuff recorded, so if it does go awol you can at least prove you sent itI have done a few deals on here, and i have yet to have a problem that couldnt be sorted

What I've Learned - JDF - 03-19-2007

This is really cool thread. As a maker I’ve learned 2 important things,1) Competition is a good thing. Don't treat your competitors like they're your enemies, they just want to do their thing just like you. Competition forces makers to out do each other by putting out better products and services. Fans reap the benefits of being able to buy higher quality products and makers get to improve their skills.2) Don't keep your customers waiting on an order. Whether you make the greatest masks or not, if you can't ship an order on time your customers won’t be returning customers. Thankfully collectors are understanding when it comes to delays in the business but you can't take advantage of a customers patience and keep them waiting months or even years on an order. And of coarse there’s respect, most important of all. There’s a person on the other end of that computer. Threat people as you would like to be treated, treat people with respect and it will be returned to you.Jeff-

What I've Learned - Punisher - 03-20-2007

I've learned I should really do a name search on this board before I order from a maker that doesn't post on here.
