This movie didn't get theatrical release because they didn't think the market would support it.. In a sense, all the free downloads are going to be used as proof that the assumption was correct. Thererfore blocking production of the kinda' movies we all wanna see hit the theaters. I'll be buying a copy because ya'll are saying it's a great film, but I'll do the free online route for H2 because I don't wanna' support it unless it's good. I have to assume that every little bit counts, as long as folks are doing their part to support what they like, and not supporting what they don't like.<!--QuoteEnd</div><!--QuoteEEndIll be buying this without a doubt, i dont think the downloads will hurt the sale of this dvd. Plus im sure theres extras on it too..

The only special feature on the DVD will be SEASON’S GREETINGS, Dougherty’s animated short that introduced the Sam character who recurs throughout TRICK, with optional commentary by the filmmaker. The Blu-ray, however, will be fully loaded with GREETINGS and a digital copy of the movie, plus: * Feature commentary by Dougherty * “TRICK ’R TREAT: The Lore and Legends of Halloween” featurette * Deleted scenes * Special FX comparison * Additional BD-Live content==================================Looks like DVD all the way around anymore, are 'bare-bones' and if you want what you used to get, you have to buy Blu-ray <img src=\"style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/confused.gif\" style=\"vertical-align:middle\" emoid=\"\" border=\"0\" alt=\"confused.gif\" />

I'll get it on Blu-ray when it drops around $15 or $20.

I too am tired of getting burned on crappy films. How is Rob Zombie gonna make money on the dvd release, if you download it and don't buy it? Your argument doesn't hold water if you are going to download a film like H@. If you truly don't want to support it, don't give it a second glance. On a side note, has anyone noticed that dvd's don't have many extras anymore, and they are all saved for Blu ray? That kinda pisses me off. I guess DVD's are the VHS of the new millenium!Pat

And only a couple bucks cheaper than the BluRay at that.~Jonny

I did download this movie because I was dying yo see it, but am going to pick it up on my lunch break. I do the "try it before you buy it" as you guys mentioned, but this movie def deserves my dollars. Looking forward to the special features. The reason why regular dvds don't have all the special features is because of how far they have dropped in rpice. new movies come out and are 13.99 on regular dvd, then go up to 17.99 afetr the first week or so, and then wind up being 10.00 in a few months, if not cheaper. The special edition and blurays are where the film studios make their money, so that is why all the special featureas are going there. If you want to see it, they want you to pay more.

Picked it up on Blu Ray today from Best Buy. The actual jacket of the BD has a nice picture of unmasked Sam. The movie was great. Had a lot of twists I didn't see coming. A nice Halloween classic!
