Looks to me like this guy is playing Robert playing Freddy.<!--QuoteEnd
<!--QuoteEEndI agree with the first part of that, but def not the second part. Jackie looks like he's definately making the role his own. His movements, the voice etc - all very different. The only real similarity is the sweater, glove and hat, but those the the trademarks things you shouldn't change. That's what has made Jackies challenge so hard - using the same tools and parts but to create an alltogether different persona and monster. IMO, based on what I have seen so far, he's doing ok. It was always going to be a tough act to follow, but I'm really lookingforward to April 30th next year - 214 days to go! Nightmare On Elm Street Teaser! - HorrorFX - 09-28-2009 This is going to be a great movie, Guys! That glove looks so brutal and heavy! Freddys face truley looks like the face of a burns patient, I think this is going to be the top of all remakes.-Chris Nightmare On Elm Street Teaser! - b47 - 09-28-2009 Here's some screencap... sorry if this has been posted. Nightmare On Elm Street Teaser! - wickedbeard - 09-28-2009 Child killers and molesters always beg and plead they did not do it when they are cornered, so that makes perfect sense to me that he would do that, and this looks really dark and sinister.I think it is going to be a great film.As far as changing the look of the clothes? That would be a huge mistake.I am so glad they remained completely faithful in that area. The glove is badass!!So far I am completely happy with what they came up with, especially the realism of the scars. As far as the comedy and wisecracking....no thanks, Fred should be angry, violent, and full of vengeance, not funny. Nightmare On Elm Street Teaser! - Horror4Ever - 09-28-2009 Holy Sheep he looks awesome, can't wait to see this on the big screen, finaly i'll get to see Freddy at the cinema's <img src=\"style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/thumbsup.gif\" style=\"vertical-align:middle\" emoid=\"\" border=\"0\" alt=\"thumbsup.gif\" /> Nightmare On Elm Street Teaser! - tetsuya - 09-28-2009 Can't wait to see how Owen does my glove <img src=\"style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/tongue.gif\" style=\"vertical-align:middle\" emoid=\"\" border=\"0\" alt=\"tongue.gif\" /> Nightmare On Elm Street Teaser! - Ray Pena - 09-28-2009 Looks good can't wait to see it now. Jackie just mumbles more. He still walks like Robert does, and scrapes the walls like Robert, he is just not as fast and animated. I would label Jackie a "dumbed down more boring version" of Robert's Freddy. Although it may be more realistic, but realism is not always the best entertainment. You can a lot about that through online gaming. Nonetheless, I guess we will have wait and see the full movie to make a better assessment. But if you are not going to change much about Freddy's look, well then you should have just used Robert. Robert IS Freddy because he ingrained a lot of his own personality into the character. Nightmare On Elm Street Teaser! - Horror4Ever - 09-28-2009 Saying that after watching the trailer, i do see hints of Robert in his movement, but like sirbad says we can only watch the full movie to get a better view on his performance. |
