I've never heard of the "un-attatched bottom rivet" theory, but that doesn't mean it's not true. In the stick shift photos, it's 100% clear that the bottom rivet is attached and pulling the glove upward. I can easily see how the rivet could have torn through the glove at a later date, however. If they didn't use a washer, or some sort of divider to prevent the the rivet slipping through from underneath, all it would take is a good yank to tear it through the hole. Especially if it was an old, soft leather. (which it was) Part 2 Freddy Glove Ringlets? - adee - 02-22-2010 <!--quoteo(post=350616:date=Feb 22 2010, 03:33 PM:name=knifegloves.com)<div class=\'quotetop\'>QUOTE (knifegloves.com @ Feb 22 2010, 03:33 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>
<div class=\'quotemain\'><!--quotecOR.... the rivet is attached and is pulling the leather up past the drawstring. <img src=\"style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin.gif\" style=\"vertical-align:middle\" emoid=\"\" border=\"0\" alt=\"biggrin.gif\" /><!--QuoteEnd
<!--QuoteEEndI think it was attached, I'm just presenting a theory as to why it might not be.Truth is, none of us will ever know. It could be a different cicumstance in every scene as they were constantly making changes and fixing the glove and the I don't think they were expecting this sort of scrutiny so probably didn't care too much about the continuity of every last piece of the glove.i have to laugh every time I hear the words 'screen accurate'. Maybe 'scene accurate' would be a better description as the copper would have darkened naturally over filming, especially by the second film and with all the adjustments and fixes etc, your screen accurate glove is only as accurate as the lighting and camera filters etc used in the specific screen shot you choose to model it on.You'd have to base it on a picture taken in daylight with a good resolution still camera to guarantee true accuracy, and even then it could look different depending on whether the pic was taken at the start of filming or the end. The gloves had no ringlets on it at the time of shooting this. The glove was held on to Robert's fingers by rubberbands. So, the glove had not yet been attached to the leather AT ALL (no rivets in the backplate) at this point.<!--QuoteEnd
<!--QuoteEEndgolly gee willikers, yeah i see what you mean now. lol Part 2 Freddy Glove Ringlets? - hummie12 - 02-22-2010 i know that people say that the filmset crew sharpened and dulled the blades over and over again during shooting the scenes, not to go off the subject, but what i would like to know where are the "other" screen used part 1/2 gloves?? (like for example the stunt glove? maybe plastic indexfinger blade?) i mean the so called main part 1/2 Hero glove is discovered. but where are the other ones?as we all know the film was low budget, but Heather Langenkamp says there where several different gloves used: plastic ones, sharp ones and non sharp ones.check at 5:05 where she says that.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Dkev_wpWEw8...feature=relatedwould love to know where the other part 1/2 gloves are nowadays and/or if they still exist. Part 2 Freddy Glove Ringlets? - SUCKFACE - 02-22-2010 the stunt glove is with Ken or Lou over at frightstuff.they have mentioned in the past that they will post pictures and it was talked of a possible sale at one point I think, but that forum just doesn't seem to get that much attention on Freddy gloves so I don't think they spend too much time posting updates on the stuff like they do the Hockey masks <img src=\"style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/sad.gif\" style=\"vertical-align:middle\" emoid=\"\" border=\"0\" alt=\"sad.gif\" /> sad when they have so much stuff Part 2 Freddy Glove Ringlets? - hummie12 - 02-22-2010 i would love to see some pictures of this "stunt" glove in the future. It very simple really ! |
