For the record, Zombie said he wanted to keep the mask like the original and not an original. Here is the quote:

The psycho is my fav mask but NO WAY would I want to see it in H9. I would MUCH rather see the butcher or the maniac secondly because the "H4 cover look" mask wasn\'t really used in any of the movies. Yes it is the same mask as in H1 but it looks different from it on the H4 cover because of its stretched look. That is just me. Lets here some more.
