Like Joe said, I was born in '91 and my FAVORITE's of the franchise are N1, N2 and New Nightmare. I never watch any of the other ones because they are just horrible. How far they started deviating from the original direction and cinematography just ruins the movies for me. I know they're sequels, they are what they are, but I don't find much enjoyment in them. Especially Freddy in VS, strayed so far from the original Freddy. As the Friday the 13th debate has occured, I'd have to consider Part 1 and 2 the only "A Nightmare on Elm Street" Films (hell, maybe 3 as well) and 4-VS as "Freddy Films". Worst Nightmare On Elm Street Sequel Of All-time - CreepingDead - 04-29-2010 I like parts 1,2, and 3.I like "New Nightmare" but it's not actually supposed to be part of the "Elm Street" series, even though everybody lumps it in there with the rest. It just didn't stay true to the folklore of Freddy which is the reason I put it after parts 1,3,4, an d 7. There's no rules to a film in it's first sequel, and it's a bit bias to judge a film based on it's sequels made afterwards. If anything, you should be mad at the films following it. Personally, I think N3 and on ward, while still fun flicks, really missed the mark. When comparing the two films (N1 and N3), it's quite ridiculous how far they astrayed fromPersonally, I felt it was a perfect sequel. It gave a new feeling to Freddy, and being that it was it's first sequel, it had that privilege. Unlike a remake, a sequel doesn't have to attribute to a specific style. It can create a new mood, though it doesn't have to as seen in the first four F13 films. Worst Nightmare On Elm Street Sequel Of All-time - dougie - 04-29-2010 Since I have watched the whole series within the last week I can say the 2 worst ones were VS and Freddy's Dead.
