Like the doods that complain to the cable company about a $1.00 increase/year on their bill... I hated doing that when I was in Customer Service... thank god I dont do it now Big Grin They\'d call in upset that the rate increase by $1.00/mth... so thats $12.00/year... damn... just dont go to Starbucks for 2 days out of the whole year Big Grin

People have to put things in perspective Big Grin the way I look at it... you cant afford it... dont do it!

Cheers
Steven

i just wanna add

to me, in life, money isnt as important as to what u can get with it.....

true that type of statement can be debated for obvious reasons...

but i stand by it...money is just the middle man...

To those of you who understand where I\'m coming from, thanks. For those of you who still dont read posts entirely, well, I\'m sorry your parents dropped you on your heads. I did not say everything is overpriced, only some things as most of you understood. And I guess maybe I should have also specified that I am not calling artists orignal sculpts and work into question. I am an artist myself and understand that. But I do not overcharge for work that was easy and not time consuming, and if I simply traced over a picture and then added some additional detail, I wouldn\'t charge for that. I also have a small collection of some rare pieces that are expensive. So, I don\'t feel the entire hobby is overpriced, and I am not jealous.

Then you should be more spesific. What exactly are you talking about?

I like how the people who don\'t agree with you must have been dropped on their head as a baby <_< <_<

I have no problems with someone disagreeing with me. I\'m referring to those who tell me I shouldn\'t be collecting. If you disagree with me then you can say, "no, I don\'t think any of this stuff is over-priced." Being told I shouldn\'t be collecting or that I\'m jealous or any other negative remark directed at me instead of my comment is not disagreeing, it\'s more like misdirected confrontational people. I made the dropped on their heads comment towards those who instead of disagreeing, didn\'t get the meaning of my post and said I shouldn\'t be collecting or that I was jealous or made some other personal insult towards me. Alot of you people had intelligent, thoughtful replies, including those who disagreed that things weren\'t overpriced. I think there are some people who just like being confrontational and argumentive. I like when people can post their disagreements civially with reasons why they feel the way they do without name-calling ro getting offended that the author of the original thread feels a certain way. I really didn\'t think my original post was confusing....

I really don\'t think your original post was needed..... You are on a mask collecting site that is frequented by mask makers, and OWNED by a mask maker I might add, and with no spesifics you say most current masks are over priced? Good, fine, great. Don\'t buy the masks you feel are over priced. No civil or fun conversation will spark from your initial post post. The only thing that can come from a post like this is name calling, and finger pointing. You made an observation, thats fine but a topic isn\'t really needed from it is it? I mean, did you think posting your opinions would create some sort of up roar with mask collectors, demanding prices be lowered, and that the makers would have to give in to it?
