Bobs Joker is by far the best but for $4500 it should come fully clothed and with all the bells and whistles. While it IS a grail type bust I believe the pricetag is a bit on the high side. You could commission one of the many great artist in this hobby to make you one from the ground up for much less. When the Dvd comes out the reference will be flowing and there will be better likenesses. Then again its YOUR money and if its worth that kind of $ to you then thats all that matters. If you can swing it and will be satisfied than by all means go for it.

Wow!!! That full size creature from the black lagoon is amazing. The creature was always my favourite out of the universal studios monsters and this thing is full size! I don't like the facial expression on Mike's, and something about the hair bothers me, it looks too "full" and not clumped together (greasy look).Bob's looks pretty fantastic to me. Also people spend $4,500-5,000 on hobbies they are serious about all the time, if you're serious about mask collecting, then that's up to you if you want to spend the money.

I don't see why you seem to be debating with guys saying it's a ridiculous price when you made a topic asking for opinions... First off, I think it's lame to even have to leave it up to guys to convince you otherwise, whether you want a piece or not. Sort of shows that a) Pissing contests of years earlier are still lingering around, or b ) this is another example of an individual who can't think for himself OR needs the approval of his peers. In other words, I've never been a fan of these threads. I mean COME ON. It's your money, your decision, your initiative... Why does it matter what anyone else thinks??Second, when Cory said he would only spend $500 on a joker, he didn't mean that particular silicone Joker is worth only $500. That means it's <b>his</b> limit. He even suggested trying to get a latex copy, so I assume that's the avenue he would choose to take if he were to get one.Third, silicone has gotten a huge hype these last few years and I think the price for this Joker is insane. Considering ALL the work put into it and even the artist's name himself (which is lame.. we're not talking about Da Vinci or Michelangelo here), it's a head on some shoulders that will sit there and stare it's fixed stare the rest of it's life.... for $5000. Forth, the likeness of Ledger himself in makeup is not all that great. So far, no one has really nailed Heath's face. Sure it looks real, but unless you want a bust of another guy in Joker makeup ala the Dark Knight, it's not worth the price.Fif, all this talk of 'the value of the art' and w/e mindless banter people have learned to justify a high priced piece.... It's hype. All due respect to artists and all, but some artists are not very inclined on the business side of things. Sure they can set their own price.. But is it reasonable? There are a few FX guys, working in Hollywood right now, that offer pieces for much lower. If this is the 'beauty' in your (the beholder's) 'eye', go for it, but in the same way you ask for the approval of your peers, don't be upset when people take you for a fool who doesn't understand the value of the almighty (declining) dollar. Well likeness wise, the expresion i think is the thing thats throwing it off, the eyes and cheeks don't look right, but as has been said thats just my opinion.I'm also thinking this doesn't need to be done in silicone, for silicone pieces you use it for its translucent effect, to make it look like skin, this obviously has the makeup over which defeats the purpose of using the material.Those pics are nice, thats a great likeness right there

Dude that Hottoys figure is amazing! It's only 150 and has like 2-3 heads right? Now that's a valid purchase IMO.
