Rob Zombie Returns To Haddonfield For Halloween 2 - BPRD - 12-15-2008

Marcus Nispal has a great vision and it translates well into his films. The F13th remake will breath new life into Jason as it did with LF. His cinematic style is a perfect combination of old and new. Zombie doesn't have that kind of presense as a director and thats why it hurt Myers with his remake. I'm very curious to see who's going to be at the helm for the NOES remake.

Well I am always the odd man out on RZ.I loved his version, and I would sure be up for another one.I also love the original, and part 2, but as far as the others after that? well, they were okay. They both have their merits, and for those of us ....like me, the brutality is quite refreshing.Micheal was awesome as a stalker killer, but I wanted to see him as a bad ass and RZ delivered that so why can't we just enjoy the best of both worlds. This gets to be more of an issue than it needs to be sometimes.RZ did not ruin myers, he just did it differently, so what!!lolActually the only parts that i did not care for was when he was walking in the street in broad daylight, and when young mikey wore the bobble mask, other than that i loved it all.As for TCM, I am not a real big leatherface nut so it really does not matter to me what they do with that flick. Now F13th...As you all know, I am a Jason freak, and I will see and enjoy any movie that stars the big guy. That is the mark of a true fan.I loved all of em!!I am elated that they are doing this flick.I have watched the older movies till my eyes bled, and I am ready for some fresh new stuff.Sure it does not have the old feel of the 80's slasher flicks, but ....who cares!!!Jason is killing again and that is really all that matters, and from the looks of it, he is doing it better than ever.I think they are going to take the character to an exciting new level, and I am stoked. As far as sex, and good looking girls, and GORE!!!Bring it on.I like it a lot.lololoolSex and nudity and drug use goes hand in hand with F13th flicks.they all had it, and in all of them most of the girls were pretty cute, and some were sexy as hell.Case in point, the doublemint twins from part 4.For that day and age, those girls were hot, and in this day and age , we get these girls, which I am looking forward to seeing nude, then bloody.lol

The TCM remake was everything the original TCM wasn't , clean and polished but it was good. I'm on the fence for the Friday the 13th remake because honestly I only liked the original and Jason X because it was one of the best comedys ever made. The rest were just garbage like all the Nightmare movies after part 2, but I can enjoy them. One of the best horror movies ever made was a remake/rewhatever THE THING. Lets be honest guys if they weren't remaking movies what would we have to talk about.<!--QuoteEnd
<!--QuoteEEndAmen! (Although I liked the first four Friday the 13ths)

Remakes are not all bad... If they were given to the proper people to create then yes, it would be great. I like going to remakes to have a nostalgic feeling. Thats how Halloween should have been taken care of... Not turned into that horrid "acid trip" movie that Zombie likes to create. Thats not halloween...The Texas Chainsaw Massacre remake was very well done. It didnt really create a sense of nostalgia, but it was a GOOD rendition of the Texas Chainsaw Massacre. It had a great feel through the movie. Though its prequel sucked terribly... It seems the make up department is the dissapointment in that scenario... Leatherface looked terrible. The Friday the 13th remake is looking good... Not nostalgic, but its looking like the TCM remake, a great new style. We can only hope it lives up to expectations, but I doubt it will. Still looking forward to it.

Looks like it's official: http://www.bloody-disgusting.com/news/14672Dimension Films and Rob Zombie are teaming for another chapter of "Halloween," and he's racing to scare up the pic for release in October.Zombie will write and direct "H2," the sequel to his 2007 reinvention of the John Carpenter horror classic. Production will begin in March. The new film picks up right as the first remake ended, following the aftermath of Michael Myers' murderous rampage through the eyes of the sister he hunted.Zombie said it won't resemble the original second installment, as the "House of 1000 Corpses" helmer continues to take the franchise in different directions. Not sure what I think of it, really, but I'll be first in line to see it opening day, that's for sure.By the way, I see a lot of you mention/disliking the cast in the remake. I personally loved it. I mean, just look at these names:Malcolm McDowell, Sheri Moon Zombie (I like her), William Forsythe, Brad Dourif, Danielle Harris, Danny Trejo, Bill Moseley, Tom Towles, Leslie Easterbrook (Police Academy!), Richard Lynch (awesome in Bad Dreams), Clint Howard (gotta love Clint), Udo Kier, Dee Wallace (love everything about her), Ken Foree (When there's no more room in hell...), Sybil Danning and Sid Haig. That's what I call a great cast! <img src=\"style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin.gif\" style=\"vertical-align:middle\" emoid=\"\" border=\"0\" alt=\"biggrin.gif\" />

Zombies remake was good and would have been even better if he would tone down the swearing. It was to over the top. THe kills and how MM was protrayed was very cool. I liked the bigger MM as it was much more believable that he could over power his advesaries.
