YOU BET <img src=\"style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/verymad.gif\" style=\"vertical-align:middle\" emoid=\":verymad:\" border=\"0\" alt=\"verymad.gif\" /> . I just can't stand to see someone put another down because they think their work is better just because someone else is making the same kind of product . If you for one second think that you are really and truely an adult then ACT LIKE ONE <img src=\"style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/dry.gif\" style=\"vertical-align:middle\" emoid=\"<_<\" border=\"0\" alt=\"dry.gif\" /> . The way you come on these places and rip people apart doesn't exactly help you . Do you really think that if a new member sees some posts that you made towards another calling them liars and more name calling that is unneeded , that they will think " hey this guy sounds like he knows everything . I think i'll do all my buisness with him . " But you know what , sure you can make a freakin glove . Big darn deal because so can NECA . This type of hobby is also about buisness and it doesn't matter if you rip someone off a few hundred , take 10 months to make it , or don't know how to send an email . It's all bad buisness and the same goes for bashing others . So think about that next time you are wanting to open your mouth and someone buys a NECA glove instead . You may want to think twice how you treat others but hey i'm nothing but a dumb 26 year old guy so what the heck do I know right ? The New 2010 Remake Glove From K4fgloves.com... - bornoffire - 02-07-2010 Who called who a liar and name called? This is the last I will comment about this issue. THIS ISSUE IS CLOSED. I NEVER put Andy's work down and NO names were called. It's a fantastic glove. I've said that from the beginning. All I said was that I felt that he should prove that Joe D. Mack is the builder of the 2010 Remake glove because this has not been confirmed by anyone associated with the film. I personally had spoken with Joe and his son by phone (they came to me with an offer to sell replicas made by Joe himself on my website) and I became quite suspicious of their claims because of they way they were trying to arrange an agreement with me.This is what happened:I got an email from Colin Mack (Joe's son) offering to have Joe build replicas of the remake glove so I could sell them through my site. I had never heard of Joe D. Mack before. So, I tossed the question to Brad Fuller on Twitter to see if Joe D. Mack was the builder of the glove or if he had worked on the 2010 remake film at all. Brad's response was, "not that I remember". He also said, "i don;t know if he wants me to release his name, but he lives in chicago." So, that made me quite suspicious because Brad didn't ONLY answer with "I cannot give out his name" but he also said he does not recall Joe D. Mack being the builder. But by saying that he's not sure if he can give out his name, he is confirming that he knows the name of the builder. But he said he doesn't recall Joe being the builder of the glove. So, this raised a big red flag. So, I called Colin on the phone and told him that I was trying to confirm if Joe is really the builder or not and the only response I got from him was, "Oh, he's the builder alright." I asked how he wanted to do business and he offered to sell me 10 gloves built by Joe for $250 each (totaling $2,500) and I would pay them 10% royalties on every sale of their glove through my site. I didn't have $2,500 to invest in anything at the time so he told me to come up with another plan of action and he also referred me to Joe himself by phone.I called Joe and offered this: I could buy 1 glove personally so I could see the work and attest to their quality. I could take photos of it and post a section on my website where orders could be placed. I would forward their portion of the money to them and they would send the gloves to me and I would send the gloves on to the customers. Joe agreed. However, they seemed hesitant to sell me a glove. So, I asked if they had any other photos of a replica that he had made so I could build a section for my website. Their response was, "We don't have any more photos." HUH? This made me VERY suspicious. So, I finally confronted them with what Brad had told me. I asked Joe where he lives and he said, "Colorado". I told him Brad told me the builder lives in Chicago. I also told Joe that Brad told me he doesn't recall that he was the builder. Joe just laughed. Joe then said for me to wait until I see a glove in person for me to decide for myself if he is in fact the builder. I agreed. Joe said he would put together a package for me to build my site with.I didn't hear anything back for a while. So, I called Colin back and asked what was up and he said they have decided not to do business with me because of my suspicions.Wouldn't you be suspicious if you had the same experience as me???Then I saw that k4fgloves.com was offering a glove signed by Joe D. Mack and the claim that Joe was the builder of the original glove. I commented on this thread that the glove looked great but I had my doubts about Joe being the builder because of my experience with him and I felt that he should prove to the fans that Joe is the builder. That's not a claim you can just throw out there to help sell your gloves or inflate the price. If the name of the builder is not released or confirmed by the production crew of the film, then the glove builder making the claim that his gloves are endorsed by the original builder has the responsibility to prove this to the fans to validate their claims to justify the higher price and the endorsement.I feel that Andy has done this by showing Joe's check stubs. Should I have kept my personal experience to PMs? Probably. But did I EVER degrade Andy's work? NO! Did I EVER call Andy ANY names? NO!Please don't start making crap up about what happened. Even Andy knows I never called him a liar or degraded the quality of his work. Two weeks to build and get the glove endorsed by Joe, than 1 week for shipping out to the customer. This is estimated seeing that I am just starting this out it may be a little shorter. I am going to work on making a bunch of them to keep in stock depending on how many orders I get off the bat. If I can do this there will be no wait while I have them in stock.
