I figured I better come over here to explain about the paint jobs and thickness of the hockey masks etc. Why no one bothers to ever go directly to the source for the answers is always a mystery rather than just bounce theries back and forth. So let me try to answer some of the questions here.

Q: Why do the masks look so thick and why are the paint jobs and/or finishing not up to normal SSN quality.

A: The masks in the photos were a rushed job for a display piece used at the 25th Anniversary Friday the 13th Convention. As you have seen with our previous NEW BLOOD line with the proper time Brad can and will do an amazing job. As for the thickness they do appear to be too thick and that is because the ones in the photos are all fiberglass and not the ABS plastic we will be selling. You have to understand that we get bombarded with people begging us to get up new photos and such so they can order so we put up the only photos we had available. Brad has been out of town working on films in fact right now he is in Utah on the set of "I\'ll Always Know What You Did Last Summer" and has been too busy to make new displays. As soon as we can get the actual photos of the product we will be shipping then we will change them on the site. I just wanted to get something up there to try and satisfy people for the time being and in turn started up a whole new controversy. And at the low prices we are offering these at I am surprised at the backlash.

Q: Why do you say that they are from a screen used movie mold?

A: Every hockey mask we make originally came from a mold made off of the part 3 mask. We are making all of ours from the actual mold used for part 6 & 7 which is the same used for the others. I don\'t mean for this to be misleading because I assume the fans that buy our products like yourselves know your stuff just as good as us. But the bottomline is they are being made from the Part 7 mold which is a movie mold how ever you want to look at it with the exception of the X mask is molded off of Kane\'s screen used mask.

I hope this helps answer some questions. -Clark

Okay I didn\'t notice until just now that someone copied and pasted my reply from my board. I had to wait to get approved here or I would have posted sooner.

I gotta say after reading this whole thread that DAMN, and I thought Myers fans were critical!!!! Shit guys those are prototypes that are mounted to a giant display board yes being held on by screws going through the nose holes. Did you really think we added screws??!!

Now I didn\'t just "jump" into the hockey game to make a quick buck. Brad asked me if I wanted to offer all of the different styles and I didn\'t have to do ANY work at all accept sell them and I said why the hell not. Of course other hockey mask makers will be bitter at first just like I was back when I saw everyone and their mothers jump into the Myers game but it never effected my business and it still doesn\'t today. I am buried with orders right now. If I had to do any work at all on these hockeys then I wouldn\'t be selling them period. All of these masks are being made from John Carl Buechler\'s molds
and that is a fact.

As far as getting them perfect Brad will listen to each and every suggestion you have to get them right like he did with the New Blood masks. E-mail me suggestions, reference photos or what ever to us or post them on our message board.

You know the things that guys like Brad, Justin, Terry, Darren, Russ and so on go through to bring the customers a quality product is very stressful and time consuming. It is not productive at all to say someone\'s work sucks period. Tell them what can be improved and move on. Believe me I know all of these mask makers personally and we talk about it amongst ourselves and it is the negative criticism that makes us want to quit making masks not do better. There is constructive criticism and there is bashing for the sake of bashing. Just remember that this is VERY small community and no matter where you post something we will see it eventually. You don\'t want to burn bridges because eventually we will have something you will want and believe me we remember the negative. –Clark
