There ya go, that figure is great and you get the whole look, rather than just the head! That would be my pick, anyway.

It's only 150 and has like 2-3 heads right? Now that's a valid purchase IMO.<!--QuoteEnd
<!--QuoteEEndYup.. I just pre-ordered one. One site was selling it for $250... ugh. I got it for $170.

Not to migrate from the topic at hand too much but, did you happen to see the Hottoys Harvey Dent/Two-face figure? I think it's just as good if not better than the Joker!

They'r mass-producing life-size Ledger Jokers? Wonder how much those will cost?

Should I Do This? - mpetrie - 11-19-2008

Nope.. I hadn't seen that one before. Looks great. But I think the face on my little toy looks better. <img src=\"style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin.gif\" style=\"vertical-align:middle\" emoid=\"Big Grin\" border=\"0\" alt=\"biggrin.gif\" />Now.. if I could put the face of the toy on that statue.. that would ROCK.

But I'm not so giddy about Two-face as I am the Joker. There are times in films when someone actually becomes their character and it remains completely memorable for years and Heath's Joker is like that for me. The Killer from No Country for Old Men has a similar effect on me as well but not nearly as much as the Joker. I just love a good acting performance.

Can you order that from hot toys? I dont see how you add it to your cart...I would love to get the Iron Man figure as well.

First off, I think it's lame to even have to leave it up to guys to convince you otherwise, whether you want a piece or not. Sort of shows that a) Pissing contests of years earlier are still lingering around, or b ) this is another example of an individual who can't think for himself OR needs the approval of his peers. In other words, I've never been a fan of these threads. I mean COME ON. It's your money, your decision, your initiative... Why does it matter what anyone else thinks??Second, when Cory said he would only spend $500 on a joker, he didn't mean that particular silicone Joker is worth only $500. That means it's his limit. He even suggested trying to get a latex copy, so I assume that's the avenue he would choose to take if he were to get one.Third, silicone has gotten a huge hype these last few years and I think the price for this Joker is insane. Considering ALL the work put into it and even the artist's name himself (which is lame.. we're not talking about Da Vinci or Michelangelo here), it's a head on some shoulders that will sit there and stare it's fixed stare the rest of it's life.... for $5000. Forth, the likeness of Ledger himself in makeup is not all that great. So far, no one has really nailed Heath's face. Sure it looks real, but unless you want a bust of another guy in Joker makeup ala the Dark Knight, it's not worth the price.Fif, all this talk of 'the value of the art' and w/e mindless banter people have learned to justify a high priced piece.... It's hype. All due respect to artists and all, but some artists are not very inclined on the business side of things. Sure they can set their own price.. But is it reasonable? There are a few FX guys, working in Hollywood right now, that offer pieces for much lower. If this is the 'beauty' in your (the beholder's) 'eye', go for it, but in the same way you ask for the approval of your peers, don't be upset when people take you for a fool who doesn't understand the value of the almighty (declining) dollar. You must live very comfortably, my friend./End transmission.<!--QuoteEnd
<!--QuoteEEndYo dude... calm down a bit. Lay off the coffee and Red Bull a bit... it's okay.... REALLY.
