This sculpt has actually been finished since the 13th of September. I Finished just in time to transport the final sculpt to the location I will begin molding, just before I myself had to begin moving apartments. This weekend was the first time I have even had the time to look at the sculpt since moving it. I had planned to start molding this weekend, however, I had quite a frustrating time finding an accurate enough gram scale to measure my silicone for molding. Thankfully, I have the scale ordered, and should arrive in time to begin molding next weekend. After all this time, whats another week anyway? ( I say this as more hair spontaneously turns gray.)And since I want to insure successful molding, I will actually run a test mold on a mini mock up sculpt I had thrown together for this purpose. The mock up is made from the same clay (Roma) as the real bust. I am using superseal for my sealant, as well as a mold release.
