I absolutely love it! I was forunate enough to see the make-up a while ago while it was being designed (Please dont ask for pics or details
). Seeing it, even in the shadows, in context looks great. This is however the first time I have seen the glove, and it has not dissapointed me. I love to see original takes on characters, while still maintaining the original feel to them. What excites me most about this movie is that it is going back to what Freddy was originally supposed to be .. evil, frightening, disturbing, disgusting. Craven had it right. Everything since the first (although I am in the minority as liking the second) was an abomination to me. Frag me all you like, but every single movie after the second was at times fun enough, but WAY to silly and comical for me. Freddy stopped being scary from 3 on. JEH, I am certain, will knock this out of the park! Regardless of what they do with the story, directing etc, I know that the one truly awesome part of this movie will be, and that is Jackies performance. JEH has that strange and disturbing screen presence in everything he is in. Jackie deserves this. We will all always love what Robert brought to this character, but I am ready for something new. I am ready for a new Nightmare (Pun intended)to begin. I hope this is the one that PD gets right. This is the remake that I have been most looking forward to. All together now ... "One, two, Freddy's coming for ................."

Looking at the new glove.. it appears the backplate is completely gone. It appears that there are leather straps attached to the wrist and lead up to the metal finger stalls. Either way... it looks bad@$$.
