Just got mine in from Ebay. Like everyone else, I'm definitely surprised at the thickness and quality of this sucker. As far as the paint job goes I'm actually quite impressed with it too. The tris are a little shitty but that's an easy fix. The rest of the paint job is pretty good on mine.

My local Toys R Us had a bunch of them so I grabbed a couple."Its just a hockey mask. No blood...no guts...no tits......I don't get it."It's a mask replica from an "R" rated movie. Rated R - Children Under 17 Restricted. Toys R Us isn't really a big hang out for the 17 and up crowd. It's right there in the aisle with other "all ages" toys so it's being marketed to kids who can't even see the film.Same thing happened in 1979 when the Kenner 18" ALIEN figure came out.Other than this mask and the Kenner ALIEN, I can't think of a item from an "R" rated movie that's shown up in a regular toy store.

TRU seems to be filled with people over 20 looking for "hot" collectibles and figures. I was around during the time of ALIEN and vividly remember seeing tons of Kenner ALIEN figures sitting on shelves. They were expensive for the time and the whole "yanked" from the market myth is greatly exaggerated.......................Larry

Stacked up displays of them. They were priced super low to clear out (around $10) and THEN they were yanked. All that mattered to me was that I got mine for Christmas. LOL

Well my wife ran up to our local toys r us and got me two of them. she said she had to ask for them cause they weren't on the shelf. the guy said you have to ask for them they don't want them out in view. (wtf) this is a taboo bootleg item at toys r us so get your fix guys pssshh buddy wants buy a hockey mask? i gott em in the back.

I visited a few TrU's and they all claimed to 'not carry' the mask. Most of the guys looked at me like I was crazy or something even asking. I finally asked a college kid who was restocking on Saturday morning if they carried them and he said.... you know, I think I saw one or two of those boxes in the back. Let me check. He comes back with one and said, wow I can't believe we're even getting these things - they'd scare most kids. I told him I wanted all they had so he went back and picked up 4 boxes for me. I doubt that was all they had in stock... who knows. Just glad I was able to get my hands on a few to rework. I remember going to TrU back when I was 10 and always buying the 8-hole glow masks. Those were my favorite back in the day and they don't even make those like they used to. It seems like Jason has always been around the TrU's in some form or another.
