Is there a certain technique you guys use for dulling down sharp metal? I guess the same technique that works on fred gloves could be used in my situation. I need to grind down a real machete for display use. Any advice? :bunny:

Use a grinder wheel first and then use sandpaper. Start with 80 grit and work your way up. Thats what I used to do when I made machetes and it worked great for me.

Kinda figured sometihing along those lines. Were the machetes you made originally real, or were they some sort of metal that you cut and shaped? Thanks for the tips.

They were real machetes. The were made from cobalt steel. A VERY hard metal. If you need anything else, just let me know.
