This is something I\'ve been wondering. Maybe some of you have thought about this as well? Why do Myers masks some of the more costly latex masks? There are so many now, and it seems like they are all over $225. They don\'t have as much detail as Freddy or Jason(under) masks. So, whats going on?

it lacks details compared to a fred or jason yea. but somehow it still seems like the toughest mask to replicate....and takes alot of hair work...and the myers mask scene is huge...and the mask makers know this

Yeah, my theory is, there are enough people willing to pay the price. This is not a complaint on my part, just a very curious subject. I personally haven\'t seen one that I feel is just right, so I\'m waiting to buy that one perfect one, or I\'ll just make it myself.

Yeah, I agree with VF, it IS indeed hard to try and replicate a Myers mask. A LOT of work involved. I truly respect anyone who gives it a try. It\'s one of those things that to look at, doesn\'t look like it would be too hard to do, but once you get started, WOW!!
I\'m tryin to get my brother over here tonight to take pics of my 2 PROTOTYPE masks. An H1 and an H2 version. The names of these babies are "CATATONIC V1", and "CATATONIC V2". I\'ll be sending the pics over to Derek at MM.NET to post. If all goes well, I believe he will be offering them on his site. These masks will be LIMITED because of other projects I\'m working on. They will be signed and numbered by myself.
I\'m also only going to charge $175.00 for these masks, which includes shipping. I know that there are a lot of great Myers masks out there and I personally know a lot of people that desperately want one, but simply cannot afford to spend $250-$275. I hope that if you like one or both versions enough, that my price will help.

The mask just looks different in every single shot of the mask, I\'ve been sculpting an h2 and its very hard to nail down exactly what it looked like. You\'ll see a feature in one screengrab and it\'ll be totally distorted in the next, and for that reason the look of the mask is very ellusive and hard to capture. Each generation of replicas is getting better and better though.

shayne is right a h1h2 was so paper thin all u have to do is move ur head or mouth the slightest and it changes but the pyscho is the perfect replica and is dead on accurate but the hair work that goes into good myers mask take hours most high dollar mask are not like most myers u see with brown hair just glued in lines like more myers guys seem to do..the high dollar one are usally good if not then its becasue people will pay point blank

Remember it also takes a special kind of person to deal with myers fans and I rarely ever see anyone slamming a jason or freddy mask but Myers is touchy for some reason. It will never be perfect and everyone has their own personal vision of what he looks like.
Lots of time and money go into mine.
I also have other masks to make aside from these and the hair work etc. takes time.
Also supply and demand if they were lower priced they peobably wouldn\'t be as detailed and wouldn\'t sell very well.. If they lower priced and had the detail work they would sell too well and you would never get the orders filled alone and there isn\'t enough money involved to try and train someone if you pay taxes like some of us do .
there are plenty of lower priced makers out there and ever lower priced ones mass produced .

yep like the big guy said....but i have had many myers from different people adn paid 100-400 adn the only ones i can honestly say that i had no probs at all with were the ones i had from justin adn the nmm78 i got from terry.. plus there so many jasons and freds outthere adn some are pretty damn decent so theres more than one guy top get a good j or fred man from..but myers only one guy has took that and made them look fantastic and im sure we all know who that guy is i dont think i ever seen a myers from NIGHTOWL that i didnt like except the ones that werent made lmao

the higher you go the better mask you will get (in most cases)....in the end ya either pay it and get a kick ass mask or go to sumone else and pay half as much, or less, and get sumthin that wont compare to what you could have gotten

Also if you look at alot of the myers makers thats all they make.
I produce about 20 other masks and have more in the works.
It\'s easier to stay on top of one or 2 style masks for a lower cost.
