I was wondering if anyone here could lend me a hand. I decided to try to make a glove for fun but I really have no idea what I\'m doing. I got a generic template but I was wondering where do I purchase the copper I need for it and the proper thickness? Also what tool do I need to cut said copper and is there a hardware store or something that sells leather gloves that look similar?

Walmart usually sells the Wells Lamont gloves for around $10-$15

There really is no proper thickness, well at least in my book. Usually you can find everything in a Lowe\'s or Home Depot from what I have heard. What some glove makers tend to do is to buy copper piping instead. It\'s alot cheaper and its thick too. Cut it down the middle using Aviator clips and then hammer it out to get it nice and straight. For brass you could check out this guys ebay store; http://stores.ebay.com/SPEEDY-METALS-1-888...3QQftidZ2QQtZkm hes got some sheets as wellas some stainless steel for the blades. Best bet for the gloves is to type into a search engine Straigh Right Thumb glove. Hope that helps. I checked walmart out too, they have nothing that looks the same to the original but then again your doing this just for fun

from what i heard, 26-23 ga. copper\'s a good thickness and 16 ga. is good for blades....

Seeing as though the original glove was constructed from copper piping. That is what i used on some of mine. Its VERY cheap and lasts a long time. You also have a PM.

Copper piping you say? Hmm never thought of that.

I\'m still kind of lost here. I was looking to make a part 4 glove. My buddy said to make the whole thing out of copper as it would look more accurate? And I\'m still not sure what tool I\'d have to use to cut the shit.
