What is it that first got you hooked on the genre and has continued to hold your attention? How many of us watch them to be scared anymore? It was zombie movies that really got me into them back when I was around 12 or 13. Not sure what kept me interested enough to watch more though.

I just remembered something while I was away that I thought I would add. I recall watching some of slasher flicks originally because I heard there was lots of nudity and sex. What a dissapointment. Though F13, part 5 was okay in that department.

to be brutally honest, I watch horror films for the escape from real life. They allow me to release all the tension and anger that I have against the world by cheering on the killers and monsters....I want them to win, I want them to kill...By me doing this, it saves the world...and myself...alot of trouble.

i do believe that is one of the driving reasons why i live my life the way i do...helping others...etc....to keep the anger and frustration in check...good point and taken as well antisocial1
