This is a thread from over at MM.net and i think evetryone should see it. A member of this baord and other baords is selling recasted Stardate 78 masks and seems to him he doesnt see the harm in stealing someones work.I see the harm, in it and its no different than the peopel selling recasted NMM78 or the recasted psychos on ebay .I doubt anything will be done to him but IMO i think he should be banned from every board around.its stealing and should not be toleraitted by anyone or any board.Yes Terry used a 75 kirk pull for this mask but Terry did have to do sculpture work to this peice and this person thinks he can just steal the work if hes not maing kirks.Its total Bs and n matter what excuses he makes or how he tries to make it alright its WRONG. I dont see how this person can get a mold for a sd78 when there are only 2 of them and they are in Terrys possession .Not saying he recasted it(even thow he woned a SD78) but it is a recast and is still WRONGPlain and simple.............

it should not be allowed at all on any board but you\'ll always have recasters on boards and ebay . there\'s no stopping it and it sucks to see people doing this . now it\'s a different story when you see the actual maker of the mask selling the mold publiclly and stating that whoever buys it can do whatever they want with it . but if say i was to make a copy of a die hard and sell copies then thats wrong because i do not have Justins permission . see for those who don\'t understand , those are 2 completely different things .

Hmmmmmm, its a touchy subject when it comes to recasting vise versa. Either way, Bill should have asked Terry as soon as he "received" the mold and weather he was able to reproduce these masks

You should always ask before you recast a mold or a mask.
You should also, defintally say it\'s a recast when your selling it and giving the proper person credit either for the mold or the mask you recasted.

I honestly think bill doesn\'t deserved to be banned, he just used a mold that was given to him by someone else. Yes, recasting is wrong and I hate the people who do it but it\'s not like bill himself recasted it, he didn\'t even want to in the first place which is why he asked opinions from other mask makerers before even doing anything. I\'m sure he obviously regrets it now and I don\'t think a banning is in order here, that\'s just MY opinion anyways.
