Am I In The Wrong Here..? - sidewinder420 - 06-30-2006 Well, let me start by posting my old auction. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...AMESO%3AIT&rd=1 Now, here is an email I just got from him.... "I received the mask this morning, but on seeing it my heart sank a mile.. as to me it does not even resemble a 1975 captain kirk mask! The eyebrows should be part of the face as a moulding, made from latex not hair stuck on. Also detail on the forehead is absent. You did say that there wasn\'t any difference between this and an original one, i have 30 photos of an original 75 kirk mask so i can pick up on detail, below is two of the 30 photos. Could you give me an explanation please." Here are the two photos he sent with the email... ![]() ![]() Now, what do you guys think. I think this guy MAY cause some probs for me... Am I In The Wrong Here..? - The Duel Truck Driver - 06-30-2006 Hey bud, You CLEARLY stated what mask you were selling. A Stardate 78 Captain Kirk mask REPLICA. You even stated the number 1/20#. You posted bright, clear pictures and described the mask well. I think the guy is causing you these problems for one of the following reasons: 1. It\'s too small for him to wear, so he\'s trying for a refund. 2. He\'s spent more than he could really afford, so he\'s trying to get his money back 3. He\'s a typical ebay fliggleworm, who enjoys wasting peoples time. You are not in the wrong atall, and i know you are a trustworthy and reliable seller. Don\'t budge on this, he\'s the one with the problem. Not you. -Steve. Am I In The Wrong Here..? - myers413 - 06-30-2006 yeah sometime the buer don\'t like the amsk and seek don\'t import reason for get it his money  Am I In The Wrong Here..? - frosty - 06-30-2006 I would agree with what duel said I think he is trying it on, i know its hard when you are worrying about feedback though. Am I In The Wrong Here..? - mike - 06-30-2006 ya common sense would tell him it wouldnt be 100% perfect due to the many recastings it had and the fast its a replica and he seen pics and all sorry for ur touble man some people are weird Am I In The Wrong Here..? - The Duel Truck Driver - 06-30-2006 Quote:You did say that there wasn\'t any difference between this and an original one Where exactly? I can\'t read that anywhere in your add. I think this buyer has lost it. Am I In The Wrong Here..? - sidewinder420 - 06-30-2006 Quote:Where exactly? I can\'t read that anywhere in your add.He emailed me a day after he won the auction asking how close this resembled a 75 and what difference there was. I replied, basically, with what was in auction. Just added my opinion to my reply to him... That IMHO there is not much of a difference in the two. I told him that the SD78 was based from a clay press of a 75. That it was...is... the closest mask floating around to a 75... Am I In The Wrong Here..? - sidewinder420 - 06-30-2006 Let me clarify, I said NOT MUCH OF A DIFFERANCE. I never said there Was NO diff in the two.. Am I In The Wrong Here..? - sidewinder420 - 06-30-2006 Here is that email... "Hi there, just read your message, thank you for the quik shipment. I am looking forwards to recieving this, if there were any differences from this mask and the original 75 kirk what would these be, if any? thanks agian regards Chris" Am I In The Wrong Here..? - sidewinder420 - 06-30-2006 Found my reply... Not much of a diff at all. The stardate 78 is a claypress of an actuall 75 Kirk which makes it THE best replica of a 75 out there right now. |
