Alright this is controversial as ever. There are remakes galore on the cards at the momment.Let\'s not forget some remakes have turned out to be classics,Cronenburgs The Fly,Carpenters The Thing.Maybe not so much remakes as new versions really.That\'s why I always defend the TCM remake,it had the guts to do it differently,as a result,in my case,I\'m fortunate enough to love both versions. So,all that said, there are some films that I\'d love to see new versions of.Here\'s three choices from me,Curse of the Demon,The Devil rides out,The Gorgon. Now if you lot had your way, what would you like to see,and to add extra spice to the topic, who would you like to do it?

Remakes - The Duel Truck Driver - 07-13-2006

I want to see Duel get remade.

I\'d like Spielberg to do it again, but in a modern setting. I think with his now amazingly experienced skills, i think he could do it proud.

It would be a nice little memorium for all the people who have died since it was made too. Cool

Remakes - Mark Warner - 07-13-2006

One film I would like to see get remade is John Carpenter\'s Prince of Darkness. I love the film, but I think about how much better it could be today with a remake. More ideas explored and whatnot.

Remakes - VF 31 - 07-13-2006

this is totally random, but a flick i watched alot as a kid, and for some reason i remember it creeping me out, was \"the watcher in the woods\" it wasnt a horror movie.....but i just remember loving it and i bet they could do something real cool with it now

Remakes - Darth Pogo - 07-14-2006

"Silver Bullet", man could this ever kickass with a new, non-circus bear looking werewolf.
"Battle Royale" now this is one I want to see Eli Roth get ahold of. No studio in the US has the balls to take this one on.

Remakes - Rayne00 - 07-14-2006

Hostel. New script + new director = movie magic.

A US Battle Royale remake would be great.

And according to Bloody-Disgusting it\'s going to happen.

Quote:From Bloody-Disgusting:

Variety reports:

THEY has decided to launch "Battle Royale," buying the remake rights to the controversial Japanese sci-fi pic and setting up the project with Neal Moritz and Roy Lee.

Original film, produced by Toie and released in 2000 amid concerns about its violence, is set in an apocalyptic future in which schools are overrun by uncontrolled violence; the government responds by organizing an annual Battle Royale, in which a school class is picked at random and students are pitted against each other on an abandoned island in a game of survival.

Toie also produced a sequel in 2003, "Battle Royale II --Requiem," in which a new class of teen students are forced to battle a rebel group let by a survivor of a previous Battle Royale.

Moritz\'s Sony-based Original banner has upcoming releases including Sony\'s "The Gridiron Gang" and Universal\'s "Tokyo Drift," the third installment of "The Fast And The Furious" franchise. Producing credits for Lee\'s U-based Vertigo Entertainment shingle include horror imports "The Ring" and "The Ring Two," sequel "The Grudge 2" and "The Lake House."
