Striping A Mask - JasonV123 - 09-24-2006 what\'s the best way to take the paint off of a mask for a repaint? thanks -Matt Striping A Mask - Mutilated - 09-24-2006 Depends on what kind of paint is on it. For just regular acrylic no latex mix just a washcloth and water will get it off with some serious scrubbing. Striping A Mask - JasonV123 - 09-24-2006 yeah i have no clue what paint was used. it\'s all cracked and partially rubbed off already. i\'ll try the washcloth. couldn\'t hurt. Striping A Mask - Mutilated - 09-24-2006 Sounds like acrylic paint to me, try the wash cloth should work. Striping A Mask - Jason-V - 09-25-2006 Acetone and a rag.. take a 1" chip brush and cut it..like 1/4 in long bristles. You use this to scrub it..works good. Ive used this method 2 times now.
