Latex In The Mold (removed Of The Mold) - Fael - 12-07-2006 Hey Bros, Today I\'ll receive 2kg of Liquid Latex and i will make my 1st mask himself. I have doubts about the way to put the latex inside the mold, like add latex 1st on the front mold (the mold of the face), and after on the mold of back, or just inside on the together mold ??? Or another way ??? I saw that video and see just one way to add latex, 1st by front mold: http://www.makeup-fx.com/Videoeng.html (Making a handpuppet) My plaster Mold Latex In The Mold (removed Of The Mold) - SlasherHouse - 12-07-2006 Strap the 2 halves together and pour in down into the neck. Latex In The Mold (removed Of The Mold) - Fael - 12-07-2006 Quote:Strap the 2 halves together and pour in down into the neck. But by that way it will take all details of the mold ??? Latex In The Mold (removed Of The Mold) - Jason-V - 12-07-2006 If you are wonting to make a master copy, so that you can re-cast that and make production molds from it, you need to fill the whole mold up with latex prob for an hour or 2. You wont a thick copy so that when you cast over it, it wont collapse. If you are just wonting to mak a quick mask, then just add some water in the mold, then dump it out(this gets the stone wet, and redudces air bubble in the latex) then add your latex. You can slush or let it sit and dwell. Latex In The Mold (removed Of The Mold) - Fael - 12-07-2006 Another doubt: Do I need add a light coat of release agent i.e. silicone to remove the latex mask from the mold ??? Latex In The Mold (removed Of The Mold) - Hauntmaster9 - 12-07-2006 Don\'t add a release agent. Latex In The Mold (removed Of The Mold) - mike - 12-07-2006 jsut dump the latex into the mold and dump it back out then blow the latex into the cracks wit ha airbrush or some blowing instrument then fill it back up and let it sit//no release jsut latex thats it Latex In The Mold (removed Of The Mold) - CreepingDead - 12-07-2006 Just pour the latex in and fill it up. Pour in just a little at first, pick the mold up and roll the latex around in there to get into all the cracks and details, and then after it\'s got a nice coating fill it the rest of the way and let it sit. The longer you leave it in there the thicker the pull will be. The thicker the pull is, the more it will shrink when it dries. Latex In The Mold (removed Of The Mold) - ITS TIME MICHAEL - 12-07-2006 strap the 2 halves together, then pour about a cup of water in there and slosh it around until the mold is wet then dump it out , then pour your latex in the mold and slosh it around make sure it gets all on the neck and in every deatail then blow the airbuubles out with a airbrush or air compressor make sure no bubbles are on the side of the mold in the latex , then like every four to five minutes slosh it around again, three times should make you a pretty thick mask Latex In The Mold (removed Of The Mold) - Fael - 12-07-2006 Thanks Guys, the liquid latex arrived right now, and i\'ll work on it now !!! |
